My BO is worst - Does ketosis make for stronger sweat?

Postby Joy » July 9th, 2007, 3:45 pm

:| Since I have started MF I seem to sweat through my regularly fine anti-perspirant and now have super sweat? Does ketosis make for stronger sweat?

I can deal with it fine, yet I was curious if this was topic amoung my female peers was simular.

Any info welcomed,

Haven't heard of anybody mentioning this... but I do know that many times urine can have a stronger smell, and (not to be gross), sweat is ultimately made of similar components. Would make sense (no pun intended) for sweat to have a stronger odor for a time.

I think someone mentioned this recently in a post....look back in the archives of posts, within the last 8 weeks would be my guess -- I haven't experienced this problem so didn't take note of what was shared.

I did MF some time ago and had real stinky pits! My doctor gave me a prescription deodorant. It is called "Drysol." It kicks butt!!! It comes in a liquid dobber. You dab it on at night, in the morning take a shower, and you can use your regular deodorant if you like. It takes about a week to kick in. You have to use it as prescribed. It is important: do not shave before using or do not use too much, otherwise it will burn. I shave in the morning so it did not burn. Also, I used too much and it burned! I quickly learned how much was the right amount for me.

I highly recommend "Drysol" to anybody with stinky pits!!!
