Random Thoughts on Fathers Day - Bonus post!

As I was cutting the grass today giving me about 2 hours to listen to my favorite music (iPods rock) I also was thinking about Father's day and what it means to be a Dad. And what I want to pass on to my boys as they grow older.

1. Teach them to eat the right foods and to be active.
2. To be comfortable with who they are no matter what their weight is.
3. Smile!
4. Be respectful to others. Especially their Mother!
5. Let them know that people will say hurtful things...they don't need to be one of them!
6. Wait till after High School to fall in love.
7. It's okay to walk to the beat of a different drummer.
8. If it feels wrong chances are it is.
9. Live their life in a manner that if it was printed in the newspaper we wouldn't have to move!

and....

10. Marry a girl with small hands....it will make some things look bigger.

Nothing to do with weight, but ... iPods rock!! I just got a new toy for mine, too - wireless Bluetooth headphones. You plug a little transmitter into the iPod, and you can control volume, song forward/back and pause/play from the headphones. They're supposed to work from up to 30 feet away.

Unfortunately, the bathroom at work is more than 30 feet from my desk, but otherwise, they're fabulous!

And Happy Father's Day!

Gotta agree! ipods rock! I just spent the evening adding album art to all my tunes. I recently upgraded to the ipod with the color display......whoop whoop....I love it! Gonna have to look into the blue tooth.

Oh, that's the one thing. It doesn't work with the video iPod. You can use the headphones to listen, but the controls won't work.

I got mine at woot dot com, one of the strangest Web sites around (but I love it).

Oh yeah Amy....fire away with that line of questioning. I just love to talk "girl talk". Let's get the Aunt and Uncle involved, and what is preferable tampons or kotex? Menopause....ohh yeah my favorite topic. Can't get enough of that conversation when it comes to hot flashes.

wow your journal has been taken over, you better show some authority and take back what is rightly yours!

Day 66....enroute to Thinville

Came out of the weekend feeling very good! Had a spectacular 8 pound weight loss from Monday to Monday which is a big thing for me because I report in to 3 different people on bets that I have every Monday morning. So far I am dusting everyone for the exception that I lost the 1st quarter on my year long bet. But I got serious with MF in the 2nd quarter and I have a very sizeable lead. Since April 14th I have lost 16% of my body weight!

I definitely made it back into ketosis....started to get the distinct urine odor over the weekend. And since Uncle TOM and Aunt Flo are nowhere insight I don't anticpate any water retention this week!

I can no longer wear my "I Beat Anorexia" t-shirt in good conscious.

It's sad...but my 4 year old doesn't know that his baloney has a first name.
My definition of a friend...someone you can call at 3:00AM and ask to borrow a shovel they ask if you need a long handled one or a spade.
NSV - My neckties fit better...I know it sounds strange but I do notice a different. It's a guy thing.
Due to my success and diligence on MF I was supposed to relinquish my procrasinator's membership card last week, but I forgot....guess I will try to do it next week.

and finally.....

My Muffin Tops and shrinking!

See ya in the funny papers...

I bought a 60gb video ipod for the family at Christmas. I use it a total of 2 hours a week just long enough to get the grass cut. I do take it when I travel and catch up on the podcasts I downloaded 6 weeks previously.

Day 67

Dear diary,

It was a good start to the week though I really ate too little. I had a good L&G but the evening got busy and I went to bed only having a 1+1 yesterday. Really need to be better about getting my shakes in but I am just not hungry at times. End result...scale moved south a pound.

Booked the family vacation for mid-August. Going to the white sand carribean beaches in the Dominican Republic. My new mini goal is for the 2nd digit of my weight to be a 4. At that point I should be able to fit into my speedo. Note to self....book bikini wax appointment in early August.

Hasta La Vista...Babeeee!

Mental Floss...
I am seriously thinking of changing my two son's names to oil and vinegar.
When is it okay to list your prison time on your resume as work experience?
Anyone else out there feel that the world is getting a whole lot smaller.
NSV - I am wearing a belt today that I haven't been able to wear in over 3 years.
Anyone that has the patience to teach a 4 year old anything has my respect.
Ever notice that your car feels different after someone else drive's it?
I am currently losing weight at the rate of .0005441 lbs/minute.

Which means.....

My muffin tops are shrinking!
