I wasn't gonna do this BUT....

Postby Elke » June 4th, 2006, 8:39 pm

Well here it goes. I haven't been doin gso great this weekend. Its sad cause I am right at onderland doors. It started at the Relay for Life, I did real good till about 2am I was tired and I was weak, NOT excuses, I don't work that way. I brought plenty of mf to get me through and it did till 2 am.
I thought that was the end of it till the next day I have to drive 100 mile to take my husband to pick up a work truck. Again, I was doing fine but I was working off of 4 hours of sleep and I didn't feel like fighting with myself so I gave in at the Burger King. I wish I could say that was it but..
The next day I had to drive to Flagstaff to move my son in (first one to move out :( ) I forgot to pack mf..I was all set to just right back into it but well it didn't happen.
Anyway I am just telling to all not so that you can tell me how I messed up or that I need to brush myself off and get back on the wagon, I know that, I am tellin gyou all cause I feel accountable to you. I am NOT stopping mf I know it works and I will just get to onderland alittle later than I planed.
My son is all moved in and I miss him already.

Sorry about your son (although good for him!) and about the detour, but as long as you know that's all this was, you'll be fine. Many of us have slipped up before. The point, as you've said, is just to go right back to it. You'll be in onederland before you know it. So what if it's a few days or even a week later than it would have been? In the grand scheme of things, a week isn't a big deal.

How was the Relay for Life?

I think I covered most of my pep talk in yahoo chat..lol but I just wanted to say. I know one of the biggest triggers for haveing offplan items is lack of sleep and emotional times...and you were dealing with both. Don't be so hard on yourself and know that your mindset is exactly where it should be. :)

Failure is giving up, if you haven't given up you haven't failed. :D
Your doing great and will continue to do great despite the bumps in the road. I guarantee that one week or sooner, from now you are gonna be on here sharing a wonderful weight loss victory with all of us.

I have no doubt of your success on this program! It's a given.

Hugs,
Gina

Elke~ Your attitude is very motivating and like the others have said you will be in onederland before you know it!

Sorry about your son, I am dreading the day that mine begin leaving home but I am glad to hear that he is all moved in and doing good.

Elke, these things happen. It's great that you're getting back up and moving on with medifast. The next few days may be a little tough, but we're here to help you through :)

Hi Elke,

Letting one of our children leave the nest, sure can be emotional, yet, the time comes when we need to let them fly with their own wings(well, almost!!). :)

A couple of slips does not mean forever, especially with having such a busy weekend and less sleep. Today is Monday, and a brand new week to reach your mini goal that you want so badly. You can do it!!
PS: your son will be fine, they never forget the warmth of their home! :D

No problem-o chickie :) You know you messed up and you are ready to get back on track. It happens to the best of us. If none of us ever cheated we probably wouldn't be here on MF because that first diet would have been it hehhehe. Focus on the positive of the situation----YOU ARE GETTING BACK ON TRACK YEAHHHH!!!.

you will be in oneunder land in no time at all chickie :)

Ok,
So the stuff made in into your mouth and then right down to the tummy!! :?
Hmmm just call it a learning experience. Next time you'll know how to be better prepared. We all learn as we go.... so you learned. It is hard to have our chickens leave the nest. I cried all the way home after leaving my son at a school 800 miles away. He is now 30 and guess what?? He bought a house about 1/2 mile away from us. You'll be fine.

I know what you mean about feeling accountable to the group. When I went off-plan, I felt completely awful, like I'd let everybody down. However, I was able to get right back on-plan and drop those extra pounds very quickly, and you will to!!!

Girl, I am with ya! But I made a conscious decision that I was gonna go off plan on Sunday. I got all my cravings out of the way that I have been having since I stated on Feb. 2nd. I feel like I am refreshed, and it is like a brand new start. I have heard people say on here from time to time, "Ya know, it didnt even taste as good as I thought it would, or remembered it tasting".....Well, for me, It most certainly did....maybe even better. I had been craving an origial chicken sandwich with cheese from burger king since the day i started MF!!! So I had one...mayonaise and all. I even had 2 brownies last night. Ya know, the funny thing is, that I dont feel guilty at all. As long as I dont make a habit of it, it is ok. Just that once though. I have lost over 40 lbs in 4 months. Thats pretty awesome. And now, after getting all those cravings behind me, I am ready to continue this journey and lose the other 40 lbs.Just wanted to tell you that you are doing great also, dont worry, you will be fine! :D

That's my attitude, too, Sheila! And the food still tastes great to me, too! I WISH I didn't enjoy it as much anymore, or that it upset my tummy, like other people have reported. But no such luck, with the exception of some nasty food during my move last month - but that was just bad food, not a change in my taste buds.

Thank you all very much. Today have been hard, I cried off and on all day but I made it through work. I also made it all through my mf meals thus far, I still have my L&G and one last mf meal to go I will do it, not a doubt in my mind. I love this diet!
Now if I can just get my neighbor lady to back off and get a life :)
