Tell Me About Walden Farms

Postby ascicles » March 6th, 2006, 9:55 am

I just started this diet recently and I have found that the one teaspoom of condiments doesn't really do that much for 7 oz. of meat. I keep hearing about Walden Farms products, but I haven't seen any info on how much is acceptable to use. I don't plan on using a lot, but probably around 1 tablespoon would make my food taste much better.

Is this acceptable for a medifast diet?

I was looking into Walden Farms today and they say it is zero calories zero carbs and everyone seems to rave about them I dunno how they did it but Im gonna try it. I found a sight that sells only3 flavors of the walden farms dressing but they have some dips and other things as well as many of the davinci syrups, i thought the shipping was a lil high but I bought 10 bottles of syrup so Im sure that weighs alot. If you put this in a search engine you should find it > lowcarbandmore.

PIPE UP Walden Farms Fans I want some info too!!

You can google "walden farms" to find the website. I think it's just waldenfarms dot com. They carry lots of salad dressing flavors, many no calorie, no fat, no carbs, no sugar. I've ordered most of the dressings and they are all good. My favorite is the creamy bacon.

They also have sauces. BBQ sauces, cocktail sauce (yummy with shrimp), and lots of other stuff.

Very reasonably priced, too.

Just everyone please remember they're no calories, no fat, etc. PER SERVING. That means there could be just under 1 gram of fat or carb or whatever. So if you use a whole bottle, you could be adding much more than you bargained for.

Walden Farms is beyond AWESOME! The dressings are good, the sauces are good and the chocolate sauce and mashmellow dip is glorious considering that it is all 0 carbs, sugar and calorie free. I cannot have my pudding without the chocolate sauce --- who knew some much of nothing could taste so yummy.

Waldenfarms.com

the scampi sauce is great for shrimp and I am still waiting to try the alfredo on some chicken for fun! Enjoy!!

I placed an order about a week ago, but it hasn't gotten here yet. I really want some BBQ sauce, but I've put off buying any since I know I have an order on the way from Walden Farms.

I have never found any WF things at Albertsons at all. I do buy them at Sprouts, though.

Accoridng to Sprout's location finder, the 2 in TX are in Plano and Flower Mound. I don't know where those are or how close to you they are, but there always seem to be sales going on and I get the stuff at really low prices

Woo hoo! I found a local store that carries their products. Sadly, they didn't have the Honey BBQ, but they had pretty much everything else I wanted to try.

I purchased the regular BBQ sauce which I liked quite a bit, and the bacon ranch which I didn't enjoy. I've never had regular bacon ranch though, so it could just be the mixture of bacon and ranch flavoring that I don't like, rather than the product itself.

I still haven't received my order in the mail.

I don't know if you like Thousand Island dressing but IMO the Walden Farms Thousand Island tastes just like the original

I have been working my way through the Walden Farms products. So far I've tried the BBQ, Honey BBQ, Bacon Ranch, Alfredo, Creamy Bacon and Ranch. I have found that the BBQ, Honey BBQ, Alfredo, Creamy Bacon and Bacon Ranch all seem to have a "flavor" that I don't enjoy that much. It's kind of like vinegar, but I don't think that's it. I can handle it, but it's not ideal.

The ranch tastes pretty good.

I guess they are acceptable given the benefits, but I'm a bit disappointed.

Can we use the marinara sauce?

Postby lan » March 22nd, 2006, 6:19 pm

I would love to pour some marinara sauce over a piece of beef or chicken. Can we do that with the Walden Farms one? How much of it do you suppose we could have? 1/4 cup?
Thanks,
Lan

I tried the Marinara Sauce

Postby lan » March 23rd, 2006, 3:50 pm

That sauce by Walden Farm is so good, I really find it hard to believe it has no nutrients!

It made my meat taste just wonderful!

I am up for trying more of these products.
