successfull first day

Postby Allie » July 31st, 2006, 8:57 am

Hi everyone,
Yesterday was my first day on MF. I did pretty well. As a snack, I ate all the cucumvers that were supposed to go on my L&G salad, but other than that, I stuck exactly to it. I did have strange dreams of food. I dreamed about an egg Mcmuffin, and I don't even like them.

I was wondering...
Does it matter what time you eat your L&G? Does it have to be at night?

Can I make an omelette with the veggies and 2 eggs if I leave the cheese out?

Thank you all for your help.

WELCOME, Allie!!!

Sounds like you're off to a great start. I do the 6/0 plan, so I'm gonna let others chime in to answer you're food questions, but I just wanted to wish you well on your MF journey.

You can eat your L&G for whaever meal you choose. Your doing great, one day a time! :hi5:

A good start, Allie! Yes, you can have an omelet with 2 eggs and veggies, sans cheese. Use this as your lean and green meal of the day.
You can always sprinkle on some MollyMcButter or MollyMcCheese on your omelet, as well as your favorite spices for flavor. Remember, you can have one snack per day if you need to--just look in your Quick Start Guide for snack ideas. On to Day #2 now!

Hi Allie, yesterday was my first day as well! :D I didn't snack yesterday, but I think I'll grab some pickles & SF Jell-o this week so I'll have them on hand if I need them.

Thanks for the idea bout the omelet - sounds delicious!!

Best of luck on your MF Journey. :D

Egg Beaters or other "egg substitutes" are allowable, too. .5-1 cup; as per the Quick Start guide. A great way to get protien without so much fat-
Best wishes on your journey!

And cucumbers are OK as a snack, if you eat the equivalent of the pickle allotment (Two spears right now, I think? It's changed since I started).

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think you are only allowed to have eggs like 2 to 3 time a week. I believe someone told that to me once so I thought I would pass it on :)
Glad you had a good first day, let us know how the other days go.

Yes, Elke's correct, so sez the MF bible (aka Quick Start guide). Another good reason to use egg substitutes-
Happy Tuesday!

Just wanted to chime in and say Hello! Hope your day 2 is going well!

I have been eating egg beaters for the past few weeks everynight with veggies. For some reason I got real sick of meat. But I am getting to the point that I dont want eggs anymore too so I will have to try meat again. :D
