Hiya, BAO friend!

Just got in from VBS and thought I'd come hang out in your journal for a spell. . .

I'm teaching the 3s and 4s, and I kept thinking all night that, if you guys were there, Desiree'd be in my class, too.

What's your schedule like on Thursday? Should we make a delivery?? :eat:

Stay cool in this heat! This week's supposed to be a real whopper! ugh!

How did I not see this journal entry until now?!?! Bummer, I would have totally had you come over last Thurs!! lol
But I will see you in two days and am looking forward to it!

~ Two more days and I have one month of MF under my belt. I can't say it's been easy, or I love this program, or I have never lost this easily before, ect. ect like many people I read about on here.

I will say this, I have had ups and downs, but I keep getting UP and moving on. I keep carrying on.

I was actually listening to Dr. Laura a few days ago and a long time smoker called in and started complaining and whining about how hard it was to stop smoking and how she wanted to but keep making excuses.. and her family was always on her case....blah blah. Dr. Laura said, either you want it or you don't. Either you want to elongate your life and have better qaulity of life...or you simply tell the truth. "I would rather have a shorter, poor quality of life and still SMOKE!"

I found that so profound. She's right. I relay that to weight loss for me. I am at a stage in my life that I want to be healthy,

Either I can get this weight off, or I can have a shorter life, not enjoy nearly as much as I could if I was were thinner, but eat anything I want and just tell the world I choose FOOD over HEALTH.

Today I CHOOSE Health. :) and with health comes happiness, less guilt, and better overall quality of life. Don't we all want that?

What a great post Sharon! Thanks for the kick in the pants I needed, I'm kind of fighting the one-month slums and that was just what I needed!

We're in this to win it, so let's keep shaking and win our health back by losing!

Oh that is so aggravating!! i just posted here in my journal and it posted, I saw it, then went out and back in again and nowhere to be found!!! Why does it do that to me?? LOL

Anyway.....

I was responding to you ladies, saying we can do this!!!

Also, yesterday I decided I would do something for myself. I am going to enter my first 5K race on Sept. 21st! Woot! :) I'm excited. something for me, just me. Well hubby said he would do it with me, but I would even do it alone, I don't care.

Today also marks my last day of weeks on plan. Yay for me!

Yay on the 5K!! Are you walking? One bit of advice I wish someone had told me ... don't let your hands hang down at your sides the whole time, or they're likely to swell up. Get 'em up and pumping, at least periodically.

Oh good advice! I am going to walk it, but I hope maybe a couple of jogs in the middle. I can jog a bit when I walk my kids in the jogger stroller, but I have something to hold onto and it's less, oh I don't know, just seems more natural and nobody can see my flab moving up and down.

I forgot to post my measurements at 4 weeks in.

I lost:

2.5" in my waist
3/4" in my arm
2.5" in my hips
2.5" in my upper belly....I know, weird measurment, but I wanted to see how much I could lose there too. :)
1" in my chest ~ 1.5" in my thigh
1" in my neck...can you believe that?? my neck?!?!

I lost 11 3/4" from my bod!! So even though the weight was not a big number, I am so glad I had taken my measurements.

Don't worry about the other people. The runners will be way ahead of you, the walkers will be impressed to see you jogging by, and the people who do some of each will be too busy worrying about themselves to think about you. Heck, I'm IMPRESSED when I see someone bigger than me jog by. Makes me want to try a little harder.

But mostly when I'm running at one of those, I'm just trying to keep going as long as I can without walking, and too busy trying not to pass out to notice the other people!

I married my sweetheart! I can't believe it! Seems like we've been together forever, yet we just got married yesterday!

I look forward to next year at this time, being healthier and more active!
