So, I finally got here, the time to write the first post of my journal :) I'll start Medifast tomorrow, and my goal is to lost 55-60 lbs (from 215 to 160).

As the ticker in my signature show, I lost my first 11 lbs by changing my lifestyle (more sport, healthier food). But I now want to be at 160 lbs, a weight I never was before.

I'll see where I can go with Medifast, if I feel good at 180 and I don't feel having to much overweight, I'll stay there.

Thank and have a good day everyone :)

Glad you started a journal, Eric !! I believe it's a *vital* part of the journey, and it helps others, too.

Cheers,

Thank you everybody for your support :)

Ok, first day, here's the schedule:

9h30 Maple brown sugar oatmeal
11h30 dutch chocolate shake
13h30 Chocolat bar
15h30 Chicken noodle soup
18h00 L&G
20h30 Strawberry shake

And of course lot of water

My official starting weight was 213 lbs this morning, so 215 is OK. I'll take my weight only next sunday to see the results.

Well for the moment it's OK... I try to stay occupied (I'm not working for two days) to forget that I want to eat all food in the house :D

This forum is very great for me because I know that in about 3 days, if I follow the program carefully, my body will fall in ketosis and I'll feel good!

BTW, chocolate shakes are goods! I liked it. I'll eat my bar later, hope it's as good :) The only thing I didn't really enjoy is my oatmeal this morning. But it's a detail since it will be for a couple of month only, and if I don't mess I won't need it anymore :)

Okay well I will say that I wasnt too happy with that oatmeal either, I complained about it the first day...it was too pasty for me.So I add more water now which makes it better for me.I did look up the oatmeal cookie recipe and LOVE them. They are a spongy texture, and they are good. There is a thread in the Lean Cuisine Section for it, you should give it a whirl.
I enjoy the bars...and the shakes are good too.Everything is pretty much good.
Keeping occupied is a good way of adjusting to a different lifestyle. Once you adjust you will be fine. Today started my 3rd week and I am still going stong.I have faith you will too!!!

3rd week, nice 8) Keep up good work :) By the way, if what I say doesn't make sense, feel free to correct me. I won't take it as an offence because as a french canadian, it's important for to write and speak better english. This forum is a great occasion to practice too :)

Thanks for the cue about oatmeal cookies, I'll give it a try :exercise:
