It's great that you're planning ahead!! Good for you! The rtd's come in single serving "juice box" type containers. You can get them for $2.50 a peice OR 24 in a case for $55 (a little less, but can't remember off the top of my head).

The Ready to drink shakes (RTD) are 8.25oz and are about the size of a juicebox. They are one serving per box. I bought a case (24 to a case) to try before I take a monthlong camping trip. They make staying on the program easy because you don't have to shake or blend them.

The chocolate is fabulous and the vanilla is ok (I add it to my coffee). The straws that come with them are not the greatest but they usually work (sometimes it seems like you are trying to suck through a straw with a hole in it).

Hope this helps

Just what everyone else said ...

They are single serving and very convenient. I love the chocolate and hate the vanilla.

Me, too. Although I've had several with NO straw, which is extremely frustrating when I brought one along because I knew it wouldn't require a cup or anything.

I enjoyed both the chocolate and vanilla RTD. I am still perplexed how everyone here has such varying tastes. There is truly never a concensus (sp?). But I really do think that we should all HATE the banana pudding, right dede?

I'm about to order 2174 boxes right now!! :coolnana: I bet by next sunday, i will be down 40 lbs and in a race with you guys. Yeah, that's it, the secret ingredient in the banana pudding.

OH MY GOD ... I'm totally laughing out loud. I guess I never thought of it that way ~ maybe it IS the pudding. Although, I don't know if I'd order 2174 boxes, unless MF offers a great pallet-load discount.

Jump in the race, it's all for fun!!! Sometimes, it's the only thing that keeps me focused. I don't want to be left behind, you know!!!

Ya know, I think you may have something there. If it doesn't work, you could always do a faux wall treatment with the leftovers.......

Hi

Postby dede4wd » May 16th, 2006, 12:41 am

Okay, how did I miss the banana pudding bashing turned into a truck load ordering project, turned into a DIY project that might end badly...I stand by my pudding, and I won't say it's the secret to my success, but definitely helps my sanity!

I LOVE the RTD's and LOVE them! I LOVE the chocolate and tolerate the vanilla. I think they're so GREAT for on the go and the consistency is so smooth, it makes all shakes that I shake seem not shaken up enough. Woah, that was deep!

DeDe

P.S. Even the pudding isn't going to help me get to 50lbs before Ark...my body isn't cooperating with my big mouth!

DeDe ~ Well, as you know, I've been AWOL for awhile and I come back to find that you've left me in your rear view mirror <grin>. I'm so happy for you!!! I've been on vacation for three weeks and in the midst of a massive round of interviews all across the country for a nurse managers position. Out of the three weeks, I did take five days off from MF and just ate whatever I wanted so my scale has fluctuated all over the map. I'm about to weigh and post to the roll call thread.

I hope I can catch up and race you to 60# club.

Now get back on program and back into the race!

Thanks for the note, DeDe. I haven't received my dream job yet, but I'm in the process. I've had a few job offers but the one I want is still in limbo and awaiting another round of interviews.

During my five days off-plan, I gained ten lbs but then I lost it and a little more in the week after that. I am back on-plan and doing great. I just weighed and I'M IN THE FIFTY LB CLUB ~ YEAH!!!

Looks like I'm not too far behind you so we're off to the 60% club.
