We're supposed to get 1-3", too, AQ. I guess that's better than the 6-8 they predicted earlier. Either way, I hope it's the last of the snow forever!

Maisy, my first two winters were nothing compared to this one. At one point it was snowing every other day, a few inches at a time. I'm from Alabama - this is not fun! But kickboxing is. The 45 minutes really go by quickly. We do pretty much everything in 3 minute rounds and then 1 minute of abs in between. It kicks my butt every time but it's worth it. My bf keeps saying how much he of a difference he can see. He makes fun of my boxing gloves, though. I hope you'll find a class and love it.

I hope to do a 90 minute spin class on Sunday in honor of the lovely Holberry. There is a class on campus so I plan to get there early and try not to pass out in the 90 minutes.

Hey Queenie

Every time I read your posts I am just amazed at how much exercise you do...and how faithful you are at getting it done! Some days I just have to force myself. Last night I went to a Pilates class but I don't know if I am going to continue. To be effective I need to go at least 2X a week and should go 3-4 times, but like I said earlier, it is getting costly. Too bad, I do like Pilates. My hairdresser joined a fairly small and low key gym about a year ago and loves it, maybe I will try that. It is only about 5 min from home.

Hope your weather has improved. We are having a lovely spring with days in the 60's and mostly sunny. Even saw 70 one day last week! 8)
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

Hi Queenie~ my sis also lives in WI and has gotten 100 inches of snow this year. WOW....I hope you haven't gotten that much.

Like Mickey, I am so impressed with your work-out ethic. I know I need to exercise, but so far I haven't really made that commitment. I use the excuse that I am too busy, but I'm sure I could squeeze in at least a half an hour to walk.

Have a great day!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement, ladies!

Mickey, I wish I could afford to do Pilates. I think I will start again this summer. I really need to be more flexible.

Spring looks like it is on its way. The snow the other day did not stick and almost all of it is melted from the ground. I'm so ready for it to be hot! Yes, Doni, we got 100 inches, too. I don't have to shovel or anything like that so I guess I shouldn't complain, but I still do.

I hope I go to kickboxing tomorrow. I didn't go yesterday and we don't have class on Friday. Tomorrow's class is at 9. I have never been on Saturday. I should just get up and go but that is easier said than done. Laziness overwhelms me in the mornings. Well in the afternoon and evening, too, if I let it.

Um, laziness won.

Why did I take a 5 month hiatus from MF? All these skinny women around here are like 20 pounds away from goal, wearing size 9 jeans...geez! It's almost a year since I started. If I would've never gotten complacent after 199, I would so be at goal and walking around in the snow in a bikini.

don't worry queenie, you are only 37 away from goal. Join us in savannah and we can walk around on the beach in bikinis. 37 is NOT that far. Besides, with all your exercising, i'm sure you are waaaay more toned than i am. The important thing is that you are here NOW.

Just to let you all know there is no way in heck that i will be wearing a bikini. MY stomach is so JELLO right now, and the stretch marks would scare off my brad pitt  . Since I do not drink that much I will be the good friend to bring your sorry buts drinks at the pool.

Thanks for the encouragement, Erica. I'm gonna lose the 37 pounds. I'm not really toned. My bf says he can tell a difference since I started kickboxing but sometimes I think he's just being facetious. I should kick him and see if he can tell a difference. All that talk about Brazil made me get my razor out a la Kym. Speaking of that man, he just called so I'm gonna go.

jello, schmello...we are gonna tone all this stuff up and you will be getting a TATTOO to cover up the stretch marks. :D Actually, my friend did that. She has a HUGE dragon across her stomach to cover her stretch marks (go figure, she has NEVER been pregnant nor has she been THAT overweight). Only thing is, she wanted it full color but she has never gone back for the coloring because of the pain. She's such a wuss! Hmmm...i'm starting to think that maybe i'm just sadistic.
