i'm brand new posting to the forum, although i've been reading this fantastic forum for several months. there is more encouragement, support, wisdom, humor, and insight here for all who are medifasters. i started medifast april 11th of this year and have lost 44 lbs. in 8 weeks. i've had good days, and not so good ones. but i seem to be getting better at it. i have to, because i have a long way to go. i want to lose a total of 200 lbs. so i'm in this for as long as it takes. i wanted to say thanks to dogma, serendipity, bikipatra, and lauren, and many others who've inspired me. thanks guys!! :exercise: [/b]

Wow, Peabody, you're kicking butt (literally)! I am so pleased you decided to finally post - if only because it's nice to get my ego stroked so early in the day! :-) haha But anything that any of us has said or done to provide inspiration is wonderful, we all take bits and pieces from different folks' experiences, and use them to guide us in the process.

But it sounds like you've got a handle on this, since 44 pounds in 8 weeks is truly wonderful. So keep doing what you're doing and you'll get there. Don't look down the road, don't figure out how long it will take, nothing. Just take it day by day, meal by meal, one foot in front of the other, and you'll get there - waaaay quicker than you'd imagine!

Good luck to you, and watch how quickly you'll prove to inspire others here!

-- oh!

 .

Thank you for your kind remark (said with humility and appreciation instead of my head growing larger from the compliment. ;) ).

I wish you every success!!

I agree with you, too......those who have reached goal, been successful through maintaining their loss and have continued to share here on the boards were what drew me into this site and have given me strength, encouragement and the willpower to know that I can reach my weight loss goal, too.

Glad you've begun writing in a journal and will be here with us.
