New Chocolate Mint Bars

Postby Pashta » March 20th, 2007, 5:38 pm

Well, I LOVE the taste, they are awesome! But man, they are so hard to bite into.. I think I hurt my teeth! Before I ruin one, does anyone have any tips on how to make them softer? Like, does microwaving work?

I noticed that with my chocolate bars! My jaw hurt after eating one! but hey, I'm glad to chew on something! I'm sure 10-15 secs in the micro might help, or setting it in a sunny window for a few minutes. Seems like that just might melt the outside though.

Let me know if you find anything that works!

It's 8 seconds for me or I'm licking chocolate off the paper towel (which I am not above!)

I use waxed paper...it's easier to lick the chocolate off that way!

Yes, microwave. As Dede said, about 8 seconds. Personally, I am okay with them as is, but if you want soft... a bit of microwave.

They may be a bit hard, but like someone said, it just feels good to chew instead of sip. Plus I love love love chocolate and if there is a crumb somewhere I'm going to find it.

One suggestion is to cut them up in little bitty pieces. It will last a lot longer. I know me, I can get through a bar in about 3-4 bites and it's gone. You know the old saying, how many bites does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop...... or how many bites does it take to get to the end of a medifast bar......... if I'm not careful, I might eat it so quickly I didn't even taste it. Cutting it up into little chunks makes it last longer and I enjoy it better.

I believe that is also suggested in the Quick Start guide.

Yeah I just tear off pieces, it is tons easy to do that way.

Also I think the mint chocolate tastes exactly like Girl Scout's Thin Mints.

I like to place them in the freezer and then smash them into pieces! It kind of makes me feel that I am eating ice cream in some itty bitty way!
