Hi, my name is Julie and I live in the foothills near Denver, CO. I've been "lurking" here since July and have finally started the program.
I gained most of my weight after having my second child and descending into depression 14 years ago. The depression is under control, but the weight has stayed. I consider myself a food addict and the most appealing thing about Medifast is that it allows me to take a long vacation from food and gain some perspective.

I've read all the FAQ posts and almost all of my questions have been answered. This forum is incredible! I originally purchased Medifast from someone here in CO, but there was no live or online support group. THANK YOU for being here!

Welcome, Julie! Glad to see you're getting on board with us.

I'm a recent addition, too, and find that these boards are the best! Being able to come here is making a big difference for me. I haven't *seriously* dieted in years, but I'm in my 6th week now! The support and encouragement here are such a blessing.

Happy shakin'!!

Hi, Hal and Julie ~

We're glad to have you join us.

re:
I focus on changing me

Churchie, I like your comment about how you are working on changing you - if we don't change, we will go back to our former foody ways and our weight will return. You are right, we need to make changes in ourselves - how we view food, when we eat, what we eat. To make our new healthy weight permanent, it takes new healthy eating habits.

Best of health to all of you!

Chickbb,

Hi there! WELCOME! Medifast is the best thing ever... I am back on it and looking to lose 56 pounds more. Like you, I am 5'8" - us tall chicks gotta stick together! though there are a lot of taller women on here! (Maybe MF will make me sprout up a couple more inches... that would rock!)

We are glad to have all your newbies here, full of passion and energy! 31 pounds in 7 weeks is INCREDIBLE! WOW!

Stick with us, kid, and we will get you even trimmer for that April wedding! ;)
