Never, Never Do This...

I buy bottled water for the convenience of measurement and shaking sake. We usually do our shopping by driving into town (13 miles into town) in our big pickup truck, pray it doesn't rain while we're making the trip, and load up the truck bed....That said, sometimes my DH forgets to get the case of bottled water out of the truck bed. After a couple of days of being out in the sun, the water tastes like burnt plastic! :puke:

Looks like those bottles are going to be the designated Crystal Light waters. Uggh.

Yikes what a bummer. Sorry to say I don't think that water is even good for you to consume in anyway now. How maddening!
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Couple articles on the web on plastic chemicals and how they can leach into liquids/foods under heat:

First from National Geographic:
www*thegreenguide*com/doc/114/bpa

Second from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health :
www*zhengshe*org/health/cancer_news_from_johns_hopkins*htm

Replace *'s with periods to get the links :)

Interesting reading!

I myself would not drink that water... and I also don't heat up Tupperware in the nuke.... We probably are bombarded by carcinogens daily, but I figure I might as well cut exposure to it where possible :D
