My story is I never had to worry about my weight. I breezed through my high school years thin and could eat whatever I wanted. Graduated 1992. Some where around the age of 21 I started to gain weight. The weird thing is it was not from drinking rarely did that. I just started gaining.

I then had my first daughter in 1998. Put on 25lbs lost it all and then some. By the time she was one I gained back about 20lbs. Then just stayed there until my second child. After my second child was born I was 10lbs heavier and could not lose it. There I sat at about 215 to 220. For years.

Six years later have tried every diet under the sun. Was losing a little weight, then came along baby number 3. Well she is now 17mos. MF is the first diet I have found that I have been able to lose more than 10lbs and not hit a plateau. I love it. I have a ways to go but am not gonna give up even if I hit a plateau. My kids are very active and I want to be able to do everything with them.

Hi, ne1!

My story is a lot like yours, sans the kids.
Okay, it's really nothing like yours (!) except
that I also used to be able to eat whatever I
wanted to with no weight gain ~ but no more.
You can read the first entry of my journal for
more specifics, if you feel so inclined, but suffice
it to say... I need MF!

I'm glad to hear that you're doing well! Keep hitting these
boards ~ you're definitely right about there being a great
deal of inspiration here!

Welcome!

Hi! I'm glad you're here and that you've started your journal. My journal has been such a huge help in my MF journey. I was never one who could eat anything, but I can relate to always seeming to hit plateaus early on in a weight loss program, so I understand your love for MF. :D Welcome!

Welcome to MF! I did the same thing - no kids, but I was thin never thought about food until about 21 or 22, then gained a bunch all at once. Getting older sucks. You've got a great attitude and great commitment!

Thanks all. We'll it am still on track. I hope to stay on it for the long haul. Was hard last night when family was eating popcorn. but I survived. Its all about beating the obstacles that come my way. someone told me just remember all those foods will still be there when I finally hit my goal.

I told you that! :D And I read it on here! This board has been so hugely helpful for me in every way, even though I'm not currently doing MF right now!

Keep checking in and it will keep you on track!

I always feel kinda bad for the folks who didn't have a weight problem before. Jealous, too, because I've struggled since I was 11. But at least it means I know HOW to do it, and it's not such a shock to the system for me.
