I have to respond to the fire pit...my first year here i lived in a town of 250...a family had a 3 foot stump they decided to burn out...small town people talk...125 peolpe showed up, brought food and beer and helped burn the stump...no one was invited, not a party, people heard because she asked the volunteer FD to have someone close...

The annual stump burning party happenes each year, and yeah the stump never fully burnt....

Don't get me wrong I still hate WI

Day one complete! Thank God that is over!!!! It was REALLY rough there for a few hours. I had to keep telling myself, "it's only food" (thanks Caramel for that quote).

I am thrilled that I made it one whole day with NO cheats and NO snacks! I would have LOVED some sf jello yesterday. I will make some today, so that when the hunger strikes, I will be ready!

Oh Lord, help me through these next few days.

Day two: Accomplished!

Yesterday was SO hard. I did have an ounce of cheese to tide me when I was about to crash and burn. In hind sight I should have had an extra shake...but at least I didn't have carbs!

So many times yesterday, I almost cheated! I almost gave it and binged! I was so close to the edge, I thought there was no way back. But thank the Lord, I made it through. Day three, here I come!

Day three: Accomplished!

Phew! Day three was SO much easier!!!!! Got on the scale this morning and could not believe my eyes . SEVEN pounds GONE! I totally couldn't believe it because tom came by today too! Thought for sure that would have slowed matters a tad.

Well, day four will be a challange. Sunday's always are a challange. We go to church and church always falls right between my meal times. Guess I will take an RTD and slip away mid sermon :) Then people want to go out to eat after...but that won't matter today, because I already planned to grill chicken...then I have a lengthy practice for a valentines day banquet I'm performing at @ 4 today. Guess I'll take a bar ;)

so let's plan this out...

8am: Shake

11am: RTD

1pm: L&G

4pm: Bar

7pm: chili

9pm: CN soup

Phew! Made it through day four! I'm feeling pretty strong now. Had a witchy moment around lunch time yesterday because I was hungry and the food was not cooking fast enough! ;) But other than that, it was a good day, diet wise anyway.

I've had to take a little different approach to the plan this time. Since the doc prescribed it for me, I am looking at this as a medical plan that must be followed. I always take meds as prescribed, so I need to take my medifast as prescribed. It's working so far.

Joyce,
I'm so happy for you!

I'm the same way! When I think of my MF meals as a prescription, something I have to take every 3 hours as the doctor ordered, it helps make cheating not an option! I like the way you think!

You're doing so great with this restart!

Thanks DeDe & Biki :)

Day 5 was a success. Tonight I'm supposed to go to a friends for dinner. She know's I'm on Medifast AND has been on it herself, so she know's the L&G protocol. She promised the meal would be compliant, but to be honest, I don't want to chance her cooking for my one meal of substance! I know that sounds aweful, but I'm a darn good cook and make all my meals yummy and really look forward to my L&G. Gosh I want to cancel. :table:

Day 6: Success!

Well, I went to my friends house and ate her dinner after all Lucy. ;) I decided for one day, I would suck it up and not risk hurting her feelings. Well, she kept true to her word with wonderful romane lettuce and cucumbers and grilled chicken with Mrs. Dash (not as yummy as my chicken, but it was good). She even made me sugar free Jello to eat while the others ate her delicious Cinnamon Braide!!!!! So, I'm glad I waited.

When today is complete, I will have finished one whole week. How sweet it is! I can hardly wait for my weigh in at the doc's office on friday. According to my scale, I've lost 9 pounds so far! :bouncie:
