I maintained easily while even on plan.
You are wise to not be in a hurry...that could get you in trouble fast!
Congrats on your 60th cruise...sounds wonderful!
Bet you have some new clothes and that you'll look so spiffy!
Sure would love to be a little fly on the wall.
Like I offered JO one time, I could go along and be your valet-et and make up your bed, lay out your clothes...whatever.
For some odd reason, she turned down my generous offer.
;)

Thanks, Lizabette! As a seasoned maintainer your input is important to me and you are very kind in offering it. :D

Hmmm ... now as far as the cruise is concerned ...
If I agreed to your offer, wouldn't that make you a stowaway? Seriously though ... wouldn't a MediCruise be a neat idea? I am going away with a friend of mine (and her husband) who I got on MF several months ago. We planned it a while back just for some much needed R&R. I do wish I could take you with us ... maybe next time? ;)

WHEN I get to goal, I think that's what I'll need to do as well. And the idea of a 4/2 for vacations seems very sound. We are headed out in December for a 2-night romantic getaway, and I don't think I'll have any problem staying 5/1 there - but in February we're planning on a Disney vacation if we can afford it, and I may have to adjust somewhat. I don't want to go totally hog wild and come back having gained 10 pounds, like I normally would do. But in keeping with my motto and my Bible quote below, I'm not thinking about all this too awful much - just in passing, because for right now I need to worry about TODAY if I ever expect to reach transition in the first place!

Is that an invitation, MARY? Let me know. Who knows what might work out.
Anyway, I've been advocating a MediCruise for a long time...but takes someone to plan it.
I know you'll have just a grand time...cause you deserve it!
I was wondering...what is the penalty for a little person stowing away?

Well, you are a very little person ... but not "quite" a pocket doll, Lizabette! :o One of my friends has already booked our next cruise in November '08. We will be sailing the Queen Victoria for 12 days: Rome, Egypt, Turkey and Greece. How much smaller can you get by then??

Seriously though, wouldn't it be neat to see all our Medibuds face to face without the pretense of the boards? It's so difficult to TRULY know a person in a forum like this. Perhaps setting up a thread for a MediCruise would be a good idea. Let's see what genuine interest there is. A lot would have to be decided: destination, time of year, date, length of cruise ... perhaps you and I could do the planning :?: Perhaps a Disney Cruise would be something to consider for folks with children? Or maybe a short Caribbean cruise?

Good idea, MARY. starting a Medicruise thread. When you get back from your cruise we could talk about it some more.
I wouldn't be the best person to plan this, since I've never been on a cruise beforel
But lots of medifasters have been, and I'm a good helper.....so does anyone else have ideas about it?

Just stopping by to say HI! How are you doing? How is transition coming along? I hope to be in transition myself in a week or two.

Lots going on in my life right now (I'm juggling several crises) so I won't be posting much. Still, I wanted to check in and assure you all that maintenance is possible! :) Gained a bit on my cruise to Cozumel (not a surprise 8) ) but they were off in a couple of days (no biggie) ... still maintaining at 2.5# under goal :D

oh ... I was presiding over a funeral service this past week and needed some "business" suits. This necessitated a shopping trip. Everything I tried on was too big ... until I started trying on SIZE 6!

It's been so long since I've posted in my journal :| but I so appreciate those of you who have left such positive comments.

Sojo, I know you must be extremely busy completing the semester now--know that you are in my thoughts! I "fondly" remember those days!

Nickie, I miss reading your journal and wonder how you are doing. I hope you and baby are doing well! :D

Charity and Katesmom, I can hardly wait for the day we celebrate your "goal" success--hang in there, you are doing well! It seems like my weight loss journey went by so fast and your efforts help me remember mine. We truly inspire each other! :)

Lizabette, I love your new medallion! Can you believe that in 10 more months I will have one too? Then you and the other 1-yr maintainers will have to devise a new one--perhaps in a different color? Then it will be even more distinguishable! :D

Donna, I'd really like to meet you. Perhaps over this holiday season we can share a L & G together?

I have stepped up my trips to Chicago to visit my Mom who is now in the hospital after sustaining a fall. The outcome does not look good at this point but I want to remain hopeful even though reality informs me otherwise. I was there for Thanksgiving week and I'll be making another trip before Christmas. I ask your prayerful support. <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/17/17_1_10.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D17%252F17_1_10/image.gif">

On the MF front life is a LOT more positive. I am currently under 130#, a greater loss than I had hoped for when I began the program. The discipline I acquired while on the program keeps me steady--always asking myself, "do I REALLY want that?" or "WHY am I craving this now?" While I experimented on the program as I got closer to goal (much to the chagrin of some of my fellow MFers and something I don't recommend for those with unresolved/unresolvable "trigger" issues), I learned a lot about myself and my eating habits. Now I only "deprive" myself if there is no just cause to indulge. And when I do I compensate in other ways. I continue to eat 2-3 MF meals a day--It takes the guesswork out of meal planning and I know the food is nutritionally sound. I do need to exercise more though

I went to a Christmas party of my church women's group last night and wore my "skinny" jeans--size 4! Someone told me I look absolutely hot! :o Who would've thought this a year ago? ;)

Well, I wanted to touch base just in case family situations escalated any time soon. While I don't have the time to post in everyone's journal, know that I am prayerfully with you in your weightloss journey, personal struggles and successes and wish you all well!

Have a blessed, safe and joyous holiday season! <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_7_5.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D8%252F8_7_5/image.gif"> <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_15_13.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_15_13/image.gif">
