We have the mind genie thing going! I thought as soon as I started reading your post 165...at the end of the day do what is good for you. Also, keep in mind, you have alot of non muscle still hanging out, as you transition, start working out more, you may gain a bit, the whole muscle weighs more thing, I guess what I am saying is 165 no tone and 165 toned are two different bodies.

So, now I am totally jealous, you can bring kness to chest and will reach goal SOON!

COOL!

Hi! Just checking back in to see where you are at with things and I definitely think you'll be happier for having pushed yourself the extra 12lbs or so. How wonderful to have a doctor congratulate your progress and tell you you're not far, if at all, from being at an optimal weight. I hope to have that satisfaction some day! Good for you!

Sigh. Yeah, I'd be in the hospital for anorexia and STILL not convinced I had lost enough.

And Erica, congrats on reaching a decision - at least for now.

hey girl! just reading a few responses in your journal i do believe i MISSED your birthday:+(...soooo HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to you :-P
also, i see you were having a little trouble deciding whether to stop or continue with the plan? Some advice from your sista'girl, is do what YOU feel is best for YOU. If ya feel good where you are now then stop, if'ya don't, then go on a little further. Unfortunately, i stopped by default because i got sick, BUT fortunately it worked out WELL for me. Now that was before you were onboard here, and i'm not saying for you to go and get sick LOL!...seriously tho, judge how you REALLY feel.
On another note, since i've been doing exercise almost everyday since i joined Gold's Gym, i noticed that i've gained weight, but in a GOOD way. My personal trainer told me that was to be expected since muscle mass weighs more. Also, i'm building more bone density. With that said, i'm noticing my clothes are fitting very nice. So don't worry about the slight weight gain you'll get from exercising, and especially if you do the resistance and weight training. Other than this...HI'YA BEEN GIRL?????..drop me an email tomorrow..got'a clear my box out..it's FULL...lol!

love you,
lil'Lulu

Ok, i am realizing that i am missing some things by not being able to visit here as often. Well an update on me...I have still been playing around with 2-3lbs. I haven't been back full force but i am ready to go for my 165. Or should i say 16something. I have been getting my pushups in but cardio is still a chore. My neighbor and i are supposed to start walking tonight, after my son's baseball game, i hope the rain holds off til then. The park path is 2 miles and we plan to do it daily. If i can at least get that in, i will feel much better. I have been wearing my pedometer daily and i am sad to say that i HAVE NOT reached 10000 steps for the day yet. THAT right there tells me that i am doing too little (although i already knew that!). 10000 is supposed to be minimum and i havent even gotten there yet. We'll see what the 2 mi walk registers. I only use the pedometer as an estimate because i find that sometimes it simply is not counting. Either my pants are too loose in the waist and not holding it tight enough or i have the placement wrong. Jeez, who thought this would take a degree in rocket science??? Anywho, friends, i promise to try to get here more often to give as much support as i have gotten over the past 6 or 7 months of this final weightloss journey. Besides, i am still not at goal so I still need the support! Hey OWTO, can we put our rollerblades back on and finish what we started????????????? Sorry i didn't get the chance to visit everyone's journal but i gotta head off to the baseball game (I am already late). Just know that i am thinking about all of you! Hopefully, i can drop back in a little later to chat more. :)

I'm glad you stopped in to update us! I was wondering how things were going for you. Keep it up with the pedometer, you'll get there before you know it and be so suprised how quickly the cardio becomes much less burdensome. When I first started I thought I would die, but it really is a quick progression. :D

Glad to see you back, lady!

Years ago, when I wore a pedometer, I was told to attach it to my shoe/shoelace, as that's the only way it accurately counts the steps. Granted, they may have improved the technology since then, but perhaps you should give that a shot?

Just a thought...

Cheers!

i tell ya, you ladies are such a wealth of information. Thanks lauren, i NEVER would have thought of that one. So i just put it on my shoe and it works perfectly. I can't say that it is cute but it works. Now i just have to see about wearing it to work like that... Uh, looks a little crazy but it will definitely be on my sneakers for my walks. Speaking of walks, yesterday was a no go because it started POURING as we were leaving the game. So, try again tonight! I will be sure to stop in and let you guys know how it went. On an average day, at my "sit down" job, i can get in about 4000 steps if i make sure that i get up and walk around. Therefore i can just be on a conservative side and estimate 3000 for work plus whatever the pedometer registers for my walk. Thanks again for the idea.

Hey, beautiful!

I'll have to try the pedometer on the shoe thing Lauren suggested. I actually haven't started wearing mine yet.
Here's to our mutual success! :buddies: --Diana
