Man, I was trying to get out of this one but here goes:

* I like my long blonde hair
* I like my blue eyes
* I like my white teeth
* I love that I am a good mom and wife

Gosh, I am not use to doing that!

That's why you NEED to do it - we pick at ourselves and fail to celebrate and enjoy who we are!

Another task this week: listen to your self-talk - what do you say to yourself when you talk inside your brain?

Do you say, "Oh, wow! That was a really smart way to do that!"

or do you say, "Typical. I always do the wrong thing!"

Do you say, "That looks good. It was my first attempt to do such a project and it looks great. Next time it will be even better."

or do you say, "Compared to his, mine looks lousy. Mine is not straight enough, colorful enough, etc. He always does better than me."

Do you say, “I ate my Medifast meals on time today and drank all my water. I followed the program to the best of my ability. I feel happy with myself.”

Or do you say, “She lost more weight than I did. Life is not fair. I always screw up.”

As a man thinketh, so he is…

Think on things that are true, things that are noble, things that are right, think on things that are pure, lovely and admirable. Fill your mind with excellent thoughts about yourself…

Have a gladsome day – you are a valuable and special person. Do all the things worth doing that will help you to become the best you can be!
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels...

Angelia~~You have blond hair and blue eyes?.............. Wow! I have always wanted to have blone hair. Thank you for sharing with us, Angelia. You're right............... that was hard, but Nancy has got me to thinking about how I talk to myself. I have been beating myself up for soooo long that I stopped loving me.

Thank you, Nancy, for reminding us to  LOVE  ourselves.

All about me

Postby LilMsTexas » May 12th, 2005, 9:51 am

hummmm what is it that I love about me? Let me see....
:D I have great hair (thanks Grandma), GREAT egs (thanks Dad), excellent skin (thanks Mom)
 I have a good sense of humor (thanks Papa) and REALLY enjoying making people laugh.
:D I finished my college education and went on to get my Masters degree despite getting married before I graduated the first time (Thanks DH).
;) I can be trusted with a secret
:D I love that I am a GREAT FRIEND!! When in need I am ALWAYS there!
:D I have taken control of my health, weight and diabetes at age 35 instead of waiting until I'm 40 or 50. I am the first diabetic in my family to gain control of diabetes using diet and exercise instead of insulin!!
8) I love that I have been married to the same wonderful man for nearly 16 years, even though statistically speaking high school sweethearts never make it in marriage ;)
:) I love that I am a good daughter and family comes before all things.
:D I love that I am working on becoming a better Christian(Thanks Grandma) and that I am taking my children to church regularly for the first time in 12 years.

Doggonit I'm pretty dang pleased with myself today ;) I hope you all enjoy doing this. It's nice to emphasize the positive about ourselves.

Have a great day everybody!

Hey Eddie..........all of my family is from the Northeast portion in the Tyler area. My husband has been in the army for 20 years (just a few more days) and we are stationed in Virginia at the moment. We will most likely be here until the end of '06. Can't wait to get back home :D
