I moved from Wisconsin to Florida last July, and let me tell you, Texas (one of my favorite places) has nothing on Florida's humidity during the summer! Plus, we have these NASTY things called Palmetto Bugs, which are essentially GIANT FLYING ROACHES!!! And it's not like up north where roaches tend to be only in dirty houses, no these things are EVERYWHERE *shudder* And no matter how many times the pest control guy comes, they're still outside, waiting to come in! And even after you spray them with raid, they keep moving! I hate them (whimper, whimper, whine)

Thanks so much to everyone for the support. I especially like MusicalMomma's comments about telling my feelings to grow up. I was good last night. I had my MF, then I had some crackers and 2 big bottles of water to fool my stomach into thinking it was full. And I do feel much better today. Both physically, because I didn't give in to the ice cream and cake cravings, and even more emotionally.

"That which does not kill us makes us stronger", and I do feel stronger today because I held fast last night. Next time, I'll be able to tell myself that this will pass soon, and hopefully it'll be easier.

As for Texas, who knows where I'll be in a year. Maybe something will come up.

Hi, hang in there! That neighbor of yours really needs to do something about their dog! :x That makes me made when dog owners are irresponsible. I have been wanting chocolate lately too, and unfortunately, I succomed to my worst temptation....Starbucks! I have talked to my health advisor about this weakness. Its the cafe mochas that get me everytime! BUT...today is a new day, and I am being a good girl....so far anyway. ;) I used to live in Texas too. I lived in Wichita Falls. I really liked it. But I was only there for 6 months. With my hubby being in the military, we are always moving around. We are in Hawaii right now. Have been here for 2 years. Most people hear that and they are so jealous, they think living in Hawaii is paradise.... NOT ALWAYS TRUE!!! I thought thats how it would be when we moved here, but we have had nothing but trouble here, I wont say all the people are racists, but alot are. My kids get it bad in school. I just pulled my 15 yr old daughter out of the school system here, I am homeschooling now. She used to be an honor roll student in Az and in NC, but we got here, and her grades went downhill fast. Anyway, I can just relate with the stress that you are going through, cuz stress can even cause certain cravings...like chocolate. Stress is one of the main reasons that I gained over 50 lbs in the 2 years we have lived in Hi. But thank the Lord I found out about MF!!Just hang in there, and maybe get a massage, I told hubby that is what I want for Mothers Day! :D

I LOVE TEXAS!!! You can switch with me and come to Hawaii...don't think I'm weird ok! It is great to visit but gets old quick. I plan on moving back to Texas within 3 years. Sure they have 115+ degree summer days but the houses are cheap and the people are nice (at least they seemed it to me) Like Sheila said a lot of people here (not all) are racist. I was told right to my face they wouldn't hire me because I was white! Then they had the nerve to call me a month later to see if I still wanted the job! Uh No Thanks! Anyways Texas is right in the middle of everything. Easier for me to fly home to visit my family in the east coast states MA,NH, & ME. I hope you didn't eat that chocolate! You would regret it. I had my own bad day and caved and I am all messed up now. DON'T DO IT

Hi Nova,
It's me Jan. Yup I do know about emotional eating. I'm so glad you found my post and it helped you a bit. I honestly don't know why we think foodie things will help us. They don't. It must go back to our childhood when a cookie " fixed" a skinned knee. Sometimes when we are really emotional we fall back into old habits. If we can identify the trigger, examine our emotion and then change our habit we are far far ahead. I'm working on it. None of us wants our old friend fat back
