HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

No ... I won't be having any cake, today, but my hubby and I are going out to dinner. I will be following the L/G guidelines but since I do the full fast, this is going to be a real treat. I'm looking up restaurants, right now, so I can have a gameplan b4 I even get to the restaurant. Anybody got any favorites or tips?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

My favorite place when I am doing Medifast if Cracker Barrell. I don't have to struggle to order.

Enjoy your birthday!

What do you order at Cracker Barrell for your lean and green, if I may ask?

Ark, I have had great success at many of the popular ones, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Longhorn steakhouse, Bahama Breeze, etc.

I find that absolutely everyone is 100% accomodating about making variations to the menu.

Happy birthday to you, enjoy your special day!

Eating Out

You might want to try TGI Friday's. I know that they have an Atkins menu so you wouldn't overdo the carbs.

Yeah..I agree! All most all restaurants are offering an Atkins/South Beach type menus now-a-days.

Marseilles, I usually order grilled chicken and steamed green beans/broccolli. Usually when we go on long drives, we prefer going there as I have noticed they have more healthier menu (in general) and my 3 year old looooooooves his veggies (and so the food at that restaurant)....and I like the variety of sides they offer for a decent price.

Ark, sorry about the thread hijack. You have a wonderful birthday today!

Happy Birthday!!!!!

:bouncieball: :birthday: :bouncieball:

As for the restaurants, steak places are the best because they show how many ounces right there on the menu. Just call and ask to speak to the manager and they will make sure you get your food w/o any added fats, oils or sugars! I went to Lonestar steakhouse last week and they were so great, I had the beef kabob and gave my hubby the extra ounce of meat. :)

I will put in a vote for the Outback Steakhouse. They have a petite sirloin on the menu and you can get it with steamed vegetables and salad with a mustard Vinaigrette. i also ask them not to bring the bread to the table because if they do i can easily eat the whole loaf! If you have a favorite place but do not think they have anything for you, you may want to give them a call and tell them what you are looking for. Many restaurants will be able to accommodate you. Enjoy your Birthday!
