My first hello to all who have inspired me

Postby NE gal in South » September 7th, 2004, 11:51 am

Saturday September 4, 2004 was my 12th week with Medifast. I started on June 12, 2004 with 5 shakes a day and one "Mickey Dee" Caesar Salad, 3 diet cokes, 100 oz. of water and HOPE. I cleaned out the cupboards, and refrig and had nothing to tempt me. My hope was to do as well as "The LW" - Nancy did in 12 weeks. I did not meet that goal, but her reports, this forum and Bon-Bon and Steve were there for me every step of the way. I did one thing and one thing only. I stuck to it day after day. I have accomplished 1/3 of my weight loss goal. I did not duplicate LW's 58 pound loss in 12 weeks. My loss for 12 weeks is an AWESOME 52 POUNDS. I plan to shake away the remaining 90 pounds for as long as it takes me to get there. Every morning when I step out of bed and my arthritic left knee does not hurt, nor the right foot with the plantar fasciatis condition that hurt worse than the arthritic knee, this is truly my testamony to stick with MEDIFAST no matter what. I never have less that 4 shakes a day, I limit the bars to every other day and it is working well for me.

Welcome NE gal!

LOVE your first line - says it all. What a great surprise to 'see' others who have lurked and all of a sudden post their wonderful success with MF. I can't tell you how inspirational it is for the rest of us! I've almost lost 50 pounds and it's amazing to me that my knees took that extra weight - they were beginning to bother me. It's heartwarming to see you are out of pain now, and have such a great attitude. Medifast is a life saver. It's nice to 'meet' you, and hope to see you a lot here -

WOW, cmc!!! A twelve-week success story is wonderful to hear about here. Thanks for sharing it with us. Would be great if you'd stay and keep company here?? In any case, you rock, and I wish you a trail to Thinsville at least as pleasant as the one you've seen to date. You're well on your way (and don't let anything stop you). Congratulations!

Dear, dear CMC ~

Yahoo for you! I am so stoked about your success!
52 flabby pounds of nasty yellow greasy goo is outta there and off your hips and thighs FOREVER!You have been so faithful to the program and you are seeing the results!

Bon Bon keeps me informed of your great success! ;)

What a wonderful holiday you'll have - you'll be wearing skinny clothes!

You are so right when you say that you have done one thing and one thing only: YOU STUCK! When people stick, the flab cannot! It falls off as you shake, shake shake! :toast:

Still shaking and losing

Postby NE gal in South » September 16th, 2004, 6:13 am

Now down 57 lbs. My first goal is 199. End goal is 130. I appreciate all the encouragement from those around the country. I am originally from Central New York - Syracuse, always lived in the northeast - 22 years in New Canaan, CT and moved to North Carolina 5 1/2 years ago. Miss the northeast and hope to return in 10 years or so. Go back frequently on US Air esavers and shake on the plane if it is time to eat. Was delighted when I did not have to ask for seat belt extension. I am totally faithful to the plan, have no cravings. Only feel hunger if I don't have shake, bar, soup or salad meal on time.

~ cmc ~

I am so so proud of you! :pet: You are amazing because of your resolve.

When we follow the plan as it is written, it works. Totally. The cravings go away because your body is satisfied. It is almost too good to be true.

Don'tcha just wish that you had heard about MF long before now?

I know that you are trying to follow in my footsteps with your weight loss.

It made me smile when you mentioned 199. In about a week, our family is taking off for Kauai and it was just two years ago that we went to Kauai and I weighed 199 the day we flew off.

I weigh 130 pounds today.

Medi-miracles are happening all around the country.

Remember when you first started?

Can you believe you are about to cross the threshold of the 200 pound mark?

We'll be wavin' buh-bye to the 200's for ever and ever!

cmc, you are already enjoying your success - comfy airline seats! Woo Woo! Happy for you, Girlie.

Howdy doody and welcome jagirl ~

 What? Only 2 weeks supply of food? Gulp! :| You must not have very much weight to lose, then, huh?

If you need more food to reach your goal, be SURE you place your order in plenty of time so that you don't run out.

Folks, just a gentle reminder: With the storms that are happening right now, it is really important to plan ahead. When winter arrives and the weather gets skanky with snow, ice and HURRICANES, it can and does effect delivery.

Yeah!! Going strong for 14 or so weeks, nearly 15 -- you rock!! 57 pounds offa you and I know there are rewards for that all day long. Congratulations for all your determination and for staying focused. This stuff does work and it still surprises me that it works SO WELL.

jagirl, I hope your supplies arrive soon, as I'm sure they will, and that you'll keep in touch about what you think about things. I think you'll like the results. As Nancy says, you'll need to order some more before the first weeks is out. Can be frustrating watching the supply dwindle and the delivery truck is nowhere in sight. Take care.
