Expired Shakes

Postby Guest » February 2nd, 2005, 6:26 am

I placed my first order and it should be here soon. A coworker brought me some shakes so I could get started NOW - they are all passed the expiration date...can I still use them?

Thanks

Re: Old products
I saw this posted, it may help:

Category: Medifast

I will address this since I had a doctor give me 4yr old product for about a month! I also consumed some 2yr old product also. These dates are from the time they expired!!! I survived. I was taking extra vitamins though. I would think it would be okay. Are you seeing a doc? You should have a check up. The diet is working for me very well. I started on Jan 13th and I have lost 41lbs. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 18!! It is truly a GOD send for me. I was also eating two other supplements a day. One bar and a soup or chili. I wish you success on your journey!!! Dee

So it doesn't appear it will hurt for a short time.

**This was from an old post the person had been on medifast for 4 months from 1/13-4/13, sorry for the confusion.

Wow-- I wonder if dominique meant 14 (looking at her ticker)??? Only because, jeez-- 41 pounds in 3 weeks would mean Medifast must have had a helper tapeworm!!! Either way, 41 or 14 pounds is awesome in three weeks-- keep it up!

Rae you are probably right. When I origianlly saw the post, the ticker didn't appear, so I would also assume it is 14, which is still awesome :D

BTW, I could use a tapeworm right about now, to get off this dang plateau!!!!

Um, I read dominique's post as reposting an old post by someone named Dee that appeared elsewhere in the forum, and I suspect the "start date" was 2004 and the post made some time after that....

Dear Guest ~

I am chuckling about how some of our zealous newbies wanna know how to dump 41 pounds in 3 weeks and are considering scarfing down a tapeworm to expedite the situation...Guest, I have had a few outdated shakes myself - I found them stashed in a little side pocket in an overnight bag and I mixed them and slurped them. It certainly would not my first choice but I was hungry and they were there!

I figure the packets all have a date stamped on them for a reason.

Vitamins and other food products usually have a "best when used by date" stamped on them to assure prime potency.

I don't know about you, but I wanna be in my prime!

Drink 'em at your own risk, and if you lose 41 pounds in three weeks, save some for me. 'cuz I want that tapeworm shake, too!

Ahhh-- 24K, you're right! Glad somebody was paying attention!

But, man, I'd pay for a tapeworm, too, Maura!

Maybe they have them in pet stores? What a great idea! A pet that is always with you, but never needs you to remember to feed or water it. And no litterbox, and no poop-scooping! It's perfect! I'll name mine Green Lantern.

I think I will name mine Beth, because my ex is very much like a tapeworm. (Oh I'm gonna get it for that one!)

Well, "Beth" certainly fits on a dog tag more easily than "Green Lantern," so I say go for it! Ha ha ha...

I think we're traumatizing Marseilles!

lol!!

I think you guys are too!!!!

Way too funny, really. I do actually know someone that had a tapeworm years ago and since hearing about it then I have always been quite freaked out by the idea.

Ewwww...

No tapeworm diet for this chick!
