Does anyone have problems while on Medifast?

Postby Cuffy » November 15th, 2004, 6:03 pm

I made it through the 1st month on MF but my stomach seems to be constantly upset. I also have a "gunky" feeling in my mouth ALL the time that makes me cough. My partner says I sound like I'm coughing up a hairball? After drinking a shake I always have to eliminate saliva. Water does not seem to eleviate this feeling in my mouth. Any suggestions about what's going on? I've never been lactose intolerant but maybe I need to move to the 70 products.

Cuffy,

Some people do better with the Medifast 70's, others that are lactose intolerant can use the RTDs.

I wonder if you are allergic to soy...

If so, switch to the soy free products: Cappuccino, Peach & Raspberry Tea, Tropical Punch, Cranberry Mango Punch, Hot Cocoa (replacement for the shakes)
Creamy Soups ~ Cream of Broccoli, Cream of Chicken & Cream of Tomato
Fast Soups ~ Beef, Delicate Chicken, Robust Tomato
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels...

Hey there Cuffy- never really had any side effects like those. I'll get the tongue coating of course, but never felt a gagging or coughing feeling or had excess saliva. Check into what Nancy said... could be intolerant or have problems with soy!

I'll check into it.

Thanks Nancy and Christy. I'll check into it. I'm just having an awful time all of suddent and its making it hard to stay focused. My doctor really doesn't have experience with the Medifast program although she is glad I'm addressing my weight. It's just frustrating. I feel worse than I did when I started: I have low energy, gurgling stomach etc. all the time.

Again, thanks for your input.
