Hi

You guys are going to make me cry! I'll give y'all my week one totals tomorrow! Doing good so far!

My Grandma always says, it's not how hard you fall, it's how fast you get back up. Well, I took a 1,2,3 Knockout punch within 2 weeks, I went down, I went down hard! But I'm up, and I'm up before the ref counts me out. That's all with the boxing visual because of my limited boxing knowledge!

Hi

Postby dede4wd » November 28th, 2006, 1:36 pm

Okay,
Week one is over. I weighed in at 186.2 which gives me a 7lb loss this week! Woo Hoo! Can't I just do week 1 over and over? PLEASE? Anyway, I'm doing well, feeling good and getting pretty good with this new George Foreman grill! Well, the fire department hasn't come lately!

Next week...Di and I are BOTH hitting the 80# club! That's my prediction! Oops, Di just beat me there, I'll chase now, save me a seat!

You're doing great, DeDe!! And honestly, as inspiring as I find the folks who just go straight goal, I think it's even MORE inspiring to read about people who struggle, and even backslide, on their way there. To go through everything you have and still be fighting - and winning - is truly an accomplishment.

I'm so proud to know you, and I'm still looking forward to meeting you in person someday!

This just in

Postby dede4wd » November 29th, 2006, 10:01 pm

Okay, this just in. I have joined the 80# club...again, yay!

Thanks for saving my seat Di! It must be the 8 zillion trips I took up the stairs today (moving my office upstairs!)

Doing well, I'm so glad I'm in ketosis! I feel GREAT! No bar drama, no sneaking an extra SF Jello, I'm IN!

Good day! Back to the moving...

Hi DeDe,

I hope you don't mind me posting in like this, but I just feel inclined to tell you how I feel.

When you came back you were very honest about your struggles, but, I realized that as you climbed back on track, you had a genuinely renewed strength. And, I must tell you, this helped me so much to feel as though I, too, could get back on track and bust through my mental plateau. It's as though your strength was catchy (as it has often been for others).

Cheers,
Karli

Hi

Postby dede4wd » December 2nd, 2006, 7:51 pm

Thanks Karli!

I'm so thrilled to hear my renewed enthusiasm is contagious! When I think that I was considering waiting to restart until the "holiday season" was over and re-start in January...I'm so glad I didn't. If I can make it through Turkey day not in Ketosis yet, I can make it through ANYTHING!

Thanks for what you said, it meant a lot!

I got a TON of inspiration today...To see Elke looking SO GOOD and to see Jennifer looking AMAZING, it was so GREAT! My energy and enthusiasm is totally renewed (even though I had too many peppers & onions!)

Onward and downward!

Hi DeDe,
I just finished reading your journal, and I have also recommitted to Medifast in November. I went on quite a binge myself and can totally relate to your trips to the store for candy and junk!! I was there too...stuffing my face with an almost manaical vigor! I was lucky enough to have only gained about 10lbs or so during my food-fest, but I had "only" lost about 26 lbs in 3 months and was having a rip-roaring pity party..lol. Since I've come back, I've lost what I've gained and am ready to keep on rockin'! :kool:
Anyway - sorry to ramble! I just wanted to say hello and congrats on getting back on the wagon! I hope to be as successful as you - with weight loss as well as positive attitude!!
Oh - thanks for the welcome on my Journal!!
