Day Three

Postby Mrsshrinkinglady » October 20th, 2004, 3:13 pm

:D
Hi Everyone!
This is day three for me and it is a good one!
Yesterday(NASTY DAY 2) I was grouchy, tired and irritable :(
BUT I hung on there and today is great! Full of energy and not grumpy
at all!
I also weighed myself for the first time since I started on Monday.
When I saw the results I went and bought a new digital scale because I though my old dial scale HAD to be wrong!
BUT IT WASN"T and I have lost 9 pounds in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!
Now THAT is motivating!!
I work in a gift store and today one of my jobs was putting together
candy bar bouquets( you know with all those yummy forbidden treats)
and I wasn't even tempted to eat any of it as I knew how much happier I will be with myself at the end of my first week when I see those numbers!
I ordered some Walden farms dressings on line today as well as Davinci
syrups and await them quite eagerly!!
OK I am off to take a walk and revel in my self control :D
Have a great day!

Dear Mrs Shrink ~

Congrats on your 9 pound success! Wowser! That is amazing! We'll have to have Unca get ready to move you to the 10 pound club before the end of your first week, eh?

Doesn't it feel good to know that you have self-control, that you can use it effectively and that you are rewarded for it in such tangible ways on the scales and also by the good feeling of knowing that you are taking charge of your life?

Keep up the good work - day in, and day out and especially on days when the scales do not respond so positively - you will reach your goal, little by little as well as the whole lot you have experienced so far, Shrinking Lady!

Nancy,
Thank you for the words of encouragement!!
You are a great example of what MF can do :D
I was on MF once before and lost 11 pounds my first week then as well.
I do know that the scale will not always be as kind to me, and that I need to focus on how I feel as well as those numbers,
I feel awesome this morning and have noticed that I am not
breaking out into those nasty hot little flashes I was having prior to starting MF again.
I am on HRT and was still occassionally having some bad flashes during the daytime.
Looks like MF may be helping those as well with all the soy I am ingesting.
Onward to day 4

My Goodness Mary!!! 9 pounds in 3 days!!! What I would give... Well, you can't argue that MF makes you lose FAST!

CONGRATULATIONS! You are starting at warp speed. Thanks for YOUR encouragement!!! I know I posted a welcome a few days ago but it's lost in cyberspace due to the server problems. Welcome! I thought about you newbies that were in the midst of the first three days while the forum was down. I know the rest of us were going through withdrawals, but at least we've gotten through the first 3 days! Excellent fortitude around the candy at work too Mary! :yeah:

Happy Aloha Friday gang!

Hi!

:D
Thanks Camille for the warm welcome!!
I was indeed missing being able to get into the forum for the last few days.
Glad that it is back up and accesible. It really helps to read about other's
going through the same thing as I am!!
I weighed this morning and have lost 12 and 1/2 pounds!!!!!!!!!
I can't even believe it myself to be honest
BUT will definitley accept it !!
I wore a skirt to work this morning that I have not been able to wear since the beginning of this year around January!
I will post on the Sunday weigh in and hopefully will have lost a pound or two more, but I am very satisfied with the results,as well as how I feel so far!
Saturday my hubby and I are going to a surprise 50th birthday party for
a friend and this will be my first meal out of the house since I started.
They are doing a 50's theme and we will be dressing up in our best 50's
gear which for me means a poodle skirt and caqrdigan and of course the
letter M on my sweater
They are serving burgers, chips, cake and ice cream. So I will have a burger on my plate, a pickle or two and will take a Smores MF bar when everyone else is eating cake. I think this will work for me!
Have a great day all!!

Sheesh, Mary! You may just become our Biggest Female First week Loser of all time!

Theme parties are so much fun and you are doing the best thing for yourself by planning ahead what you will eat.

You could add a few lettuce leaves and eat that hamburger 'burger style' or eat it with a fork to slow down your eating and be able to manipulate that fork in your hands!

Be sure to take your picture at the party for posterity's sake.

Terry and I went to a "Poor Taste Party" two years ago and had a blast.

Even though we were dressed weird, you can still see our flab.

Nancy,

You and Terry are a scream in that picture you linked to above! People, did I mention these two are FUN? Proof positive right there. Made me almost choke on my shake when I looked at it - too funny!!!! :point:

You really are doing awesome.

Keep up the good work. And if you need someone to whine to or compare hunger pains with, I'm here. In the same boat as you..

Mary- WOW WOW WOW!!!! I bet you're on cloud 9! And you deserve to be! Great job so far... keep up your great work. I too had a party this weekend, a Halloween bash. There was all kinds of yummy food and 'beverage', and I just chugged my water, drank a shake around 9:00 pm, and had a diet coke. I just told myself that while all that candy and appetizers looked great, (and that's no lie) my goals for myself are WAY more important. It's like a "mantra" I chant to myself, "those foods will be there when I'm done, just not right now...."
