Can Anyone Crafty or Just Plain Smarter Then Me.....

HELP!!!

I am the least crafty person in the world. I bought some of those sell adhesive wall sticker things at Menards to try and decorate my daughters newly painted room. Now the room is painted with textured enamel semi gloss paint.

Here is my problem. The stickers are not sticking to the wall. They just peel and fall off by themselves. Is there some product I can buy to get them to stay stuck on the wall? These are not wallpaper type stickers. They are clear plastic like with flowers, butterflies ect. I know it is the texture doing it but there must be something I can put on these (clear so it doesn't show through the sticker) to make them stick to the darn wall.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!!

Yea it is the texture. 3M General Clear Glue. It is in a black aerosol can. You can find it in the hardware/paint section.

I don't know if you want to go this extreme, but Super 77 (by 3M) will stick to most anything. It is a spray adhesive. It is pretty rough to breathe in but it works. It is available at Office Depot among other places.

They are right, but beware---when you get ready to peel off the stickers, you will also peel off your paint. Have you thought about stenciling on your own butterflies? It really is easy, and if/when she got tired of them, you could just paint over them instead of messing up the wall. Otherwise, the 3M is the way to go.
