Very well! Here's a victory story:

I haven't been on a plane in a couple of years. I remember last time I flew, I had to ask for a seatbelt extender (I still did this trip, but didn't need NEARLY as much belt!). And using the tray in front of me? I have NEVER been able to do that...it would rest on top of my belly. NOT THIS TIME!! I was able to get that baby ALL the way down!

I predict that, next time I fly, I won't need the extender either!!

Odd.. Crossing legs was a rare occurance for me, as I was pretty "hefty", pretty "thigh-ish" I could cross my legs, but not for any long period of time.

Y'all probably know the different ways we cross our legs?!?!

Guys generally gross at a 45 degree angle one on top of the other, top leg completely horizontal (not indian style) and girls generally cross one completely over the other, while the top leg/foot is hanging completly over the other perpendicular to the other leg, where the crossed foot is pretty close to the other - got the lesson?

Anywho... I cross now. I cross girl style and find it quite comfortable. I find myself in this position quite a bit now, as I am frequently cold. I find this way I can sort of "huddle" to get warm. I had never, that I could remember crossed my legs this way, now I find myself doing it regularly...

Oddities - but goodies!

My leg crossing story:

I had been on Medifast for about a month or so (about 25 lbs gone I think). My boss called me in his office. He asked me a question before I sat down. As I was giving him my answer, I (unconsciously) sat in the chair across from his desk and crossed my legs. It took a couple of seconds to realize that I HAD CROSSED MY LEGS for the first time in YEARS!! It astounded me so much that, in the middle of my sentence I shouted:

"Holy CRAP!"

This stunned my boss, who thought something was wrong. "What? What's wrong?"

With wide eyed astonishment I replied, "I can cross my legs!"

He looked at me as if I had two heads. "okay...."

"No, you don't understand....I CAN CROSS MY LEGS!"

Being a non-overweight person, he just didn't get it.

But I sure did! And now, I cross my legs every chance I get!

I'm crossin' my legs and lovin' it!

Postby Nancy » February 12th, 2004, 5:15 pm

Jeanette and others ~

Make a list of all the things you CAN do now! When you're tempted to eat something evil, the CAN list will prevent you from the evil one!

I just love saying, "Because I can!"

Guess what? I CAN (and DO) wear hot sox now - I mean really hot stockings- leopardy print stockings, fishnet stockings, etc. They do NOT come in custom-size as a rule so this is so awesome to be able to wear wild stockings!

Jeanette, welcome back, my sweet Friend! You wuz sorely missed.
