Anyone "seen" Arklahoma?

Postby supermom » May 18th, 2006, 6:21 pm

Hi ya'll. I was just wonderin if anyone has seen or heard from Arklahoma lately. I haven't seen her on boards since Sunday and that is really unusual for her. I am really starting to get worried. Please, if anyone has heard from her let me know so that I can know she is okay. I am hoping she went out of town, and just forgot to tell us. I think that if she fell off plan, she would have come in and confessed and got back with it by now. I am by nature a worry wart, but I am just EXTRA BUGGED by this.

When you post a PM, the message stays in your outbox until the recipient reads it. If it's gone from your out box, you at least know that the person got it and probably read it. Then if you don't get a reply, well.....let's not think about that, yet.

Did the message leave your outbox, Tio?

I get concerned, too, because when we are having trouble sticking to the program, we tend to hide. That's the nature of the beast. Remember closet binges??? I don't even like to think that way, but that's what makes me worry when someone disappears.

Jo, the message is indeed still in my outbox, so apparantly Shana has not even read it yet...

I hope that all is well....

About the hiding, not me, I come whether I have been bad or good, figure you will all whip me into shape when I am bad...

I knew about the outbox thing. I have been watching my outbox. The messages have been there since Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I also have been monitoring messages I sent to her private email. No response there, either. That is why I am so concerned. She hasn't even read my messages.

I got a reply from Shana, she said that she had been really busy on a project with work and hasn't been on in a while...

I will let her tell everyone the rest of the story, to quote Paul Harvey... LOL

but she is okay.... just thought you would all want to know.

Oh boy! I feel awful for making you all worry!
As Terri mentioned, I've been swamped with a huge project that has taken a great deal of my time.

The rest of the story is that I've decided Medifast isn't for me.... I was exhausted to the point that I was in bed at least 12 hours a day the entire time I was on the program. And during the 4 weeks (with no cheats) I only lost 10 lbs. It's 10lbs I would still have had I not done Medifast, but it simply wasn't enough for me to justify being foggy & tired all the time.

I've decided to go back to Body for Life, which I've done in the past with great success (16lbs of fat & more than 30inches in 10weeks). I will be modifying the plan to accomodate my back & knee issues, but I know that if I follow it I'll have good success, lots of energy & be able to eat fruit & brown rice...

I still think Medifast is a terrific plan, it just wasn't for me.
If you don't mind, I'd still like to check in from time to time & cheer you all on - I know you're all going to achieve your goals!!!

Take care, Shana, and good luck on BFL. No plan is one-size-fits-all, so you need to do what works best for you.

Good luck Shana! BFL is a good program. I plan to transition to that style of eating once I get down to my goal weight. I'm sure you will be successful!
