Got off to a rough start today, but got on track and back in the game. I have to have yet another ankle surgery - this time to replace my Achilles tendon (which they should have done in '07, but I am not bitter). I refuse to go off the program to accommodate the surgery so I plan to just listen to my body and add a shake or something to make up for the healing. That surgery isn't scheduled yet, but I am aiming for the end of the month so that my niece can stay with me during her spring break. Deanna is in school 8am - 3pm so she won't be able to help much. I don't mind her not being available since she is on track to being a vet tech. She has had such a rough time deciding what to do since graduation last year and I am so proud to see that she is on the road to working with animals like she always hoped to. Anyway, back from that tangent..... I hope to lose as much as possible this month to make recovery easier. Even the thought of being 300+ pounds and on crutches makes me sick.

I am sooooooo happy about the addition of the BROWNIES!!! OMG they are soooo great!!! Best thing to happen to MF EVER! I think they are even better than most of the bars. I like to cook em just shy of done and enjoy that "mushy" middle. Y-U-M-M-Y in my tummy.

Oh - eh - to the powers that be..... I need to be reduced to the 10 pound club :( That is just disgusting to me, but I will wear that badge with a mix of pride and shame until I can return to the seat I once occupied in the 80# club.

welcome back to MF - hope you will have a smooth time meeting your first goal

Some of the new ready made foods were a nice addition to the MF meal plan and I will be getting the new browine in a few days.

regards,
joy

ps... thank you for your supportive words in my journal! I hope to return the encouragement.

brownies I am not a big fan of.... I just think it is a smaller portion and it does not fill me up like a shake does. Also I believe they use a dark choc, and I am not a fan of dark.....

Sorry to hear about your ankle.

Keep on shaking girl

So, yeah, about the Peanut Butter.....um, it smells like peanut butter. But, I tasted it after having toothpaste in the mouth taste, so it was not like peanut butter exactly. I think they call it peanut spread. I have to taste it later on. I bought the mayo, too, so I'll see. I haven't ordered the brownies, yet, heard mixed reviews. I do plan to get it soon.

I haven't weighed yet, but I know that clothes are fitting better so I am happy about that. Started taking the dogs on short walks at the park, now everyday at 11am they start to go crazy wanting to go - even in the cold rain. At least they get me moving. Surgery is scheduled for March 31st. Instead of fixing the same thing for the 3rd time they are going to replace the Achilles Tendon all together. I am not going to go off plan like I have done in the past. Getting back on SUCKS!! I have been very good with very few cheats - like having General Tso's Chicken minus the rice with added veggies for dinner, not exactly an appropriate lean and green, but I rationalized myself into it. Can't wait to get my new order of stuff in today. I try not to eat the same thing all day long (like all bars, or all brownies or whatever) - I have learned that a variety of MF meals is important to avoid a plateau. Anyway, I am still doing well. Keep me updated on that PB and Mayo!

I am okay with the dark chocolate ones but I cannot do the poemgranate cherry ones...GROSS! Unless you like NyQuil Cherry Cough Syrup. I am waiting a few months to buy some more stuff. Big summer check coming in May so I don't think I will have money til then.

Cinnamon does help the chocolate and maybe adding in some caramel or chocolate syrup would help, too?

I have several soups (chicken noodle and chicken and rice), but no sweet stuff and I will give them to you so they get used up. Someone gave them to me and I don't know I will ever be able to use them all. PM your address and I will get them out to you.

Man surgery and recovery SU@kS this time. The pain was unbearable for 2 weeks then could only be reduced with Percocet which I HATE. It makes me so grumpy and totally mean. Now I am on vicodan which is better, but I wish I didn't need anything. Word to the wise - NEVER get into a position where you have to have your Achilles tendon replaced. Major pain in the bee hind! Anyhoo, MF usage has been sporadic at best, but I am counting today as yet ANOTHER day 1. Will this ever end??

Got my 20 year reunion information in the mail today. Haven't seen anyone in about 19 1/2 years and I do NOT want to be seen like this. Now that I have a goal date I am in this body, mind and soul.
