ok, i mistakenly posted ALL this in cyd's journal but i also moved it here for my own reference! Silly me. I thought i was posting in my journal at the time...
lifelovinaries wrote:katie, you know there is no need to apologize about the hijack! Hey, i do it all the time, besides it gives me more to read in my journal. BTW, does your scale memorize the your last weight? I saw one that does but that's not the one i got. The one i saw that memorized the weight didn't compute hydration level and bone density so i decided on mine. However, now i see that my hydration level doesn't fluctuate very much and i'm not even sure what my bone density is SUPPOSED to be, so that number is useless to me  Actually, i'm not sure what my hydration level is supposed to be either but i know it aways stays between 50-52 so i guess that's normal for me. I drink plenty of water but even when my water intake is lower, the number doesn't change very much.

Cyd, what does your scale say for your hydration level? WTG with the ring being too big now! I know it has to be a wonderful feeling. Although i am divorced, I have tried my rings on for size and they just spin all around my left hand. They fit my right hand (which they never used to do) and actually, they are a little big there too. I have worn them on my right hand from time to time (just because i love the rings, not the man! :roflmao: )

Ok guys, now on to my walking...Last night i went on the 2 mile walk (with pedometer) and it said that i had only gone about 1900 steps. This didn't seem right to me so i had to look it up (on the internet) when i got home. Everyone says that 1 mi is approximately 2000 steps so i figured something had to be wrong Ok, so this morning i realized that the battery is now dead in that pedometer. Well i switched peds this morning and went on a 3 mi walk  When i got home, it said 5880, which would be about right for 2000 steps per mi. Well, i feel great having logged 5 miles in 2 days so far. I would like to take the 3 mi route again sometime this evening but i might have to go by myself ~ which isn't fun ~ my neighbor went with me this morning. She is very overweight but she cant stomach MF meals (just can't stand the taste and won't give her tastebuds a chance to change). I have been trying to work with her on changing her diet and she is actually doing very well. Anywho, i am about to go have a shake and continue with my day. Lots of laundry and running around. In a perfect world, i would get in the rest of my cleaning too. Jeez, i have been so busy, i haven't vacuumed in a week. Forget dusting! At least the bathrooms are clean (thanks sonny boy! :D ) Well i'm gonna try to catch up here a little then head out. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

No worries about posting in my journal! :D I rather enjoyed it! lol

My hydration level usually says about 43 these days. A couple of weeks ago it would hover in the 42s. As I've lost weight, the seemingly average hydration level has gone up. My scales sounds a lot like Katie's - it has four buttons along the front so up to four people can save their weight and heights and from that it gives you a rough body fat percentage, too. The body fat % is definitely just an estimate but it has been going down steadily so between the three numbers of weight, body fat and hydration I can keep a good eye on multiple measures of progress even if they are not precise. The brand is Health-o-Meter and I think it cost me maybe about $45 when I got...superb investment!

Now that I see you and T both using the pedometer, I am definitely wanting to get one. I'm pretty good about getting to the gym, but I think having the pedometer would keep me moving a bit more on non-gym days, too. With all of those trips to the bathroom during the work week, I must be logging some serious mileage!

my scale is by Conair. It was about the same price as yours, $40 or $45. It measures weight, hydration, body fat and bone density based upon your height, age, gender and adult/child (for up to 4 ppl). Like i said, the bone density is kinda useless to me only because I don't know what percentage i should really be shooting for. I love EVERYTHNG ELSE about the scale, it is extremely accurate and it weighs in .1 increments, which can be a blessing or a curse, depending on whether you are on the up or downslide. Today i logged almost 12000 steps (11998 to be exact) YAY!. I have taken my shoes off so I will have to estimate the remaining steps for the evening. Cyd, i gotta let you know that if i am at work and look down and my pedometer reading seems a little low for that time of day, i will get up and walk around just to log some more steps, so yes, it does help, especially since i know that i most likely am not going to a gym. I would much rather waste the money that i pay to Bally's and the YMCA. You know, i have nothing better to spend my money on...like a new wardrobe for my thinner body.

Charles Schwab puts on a great party...there were 200 or so at the concert. We had open bar, and each bartender has a special, our favorite was a man named Danmark, his special was the best. It was fun...mentioned you several times, you would have fit in perfectly with our wildness...next year is Hawaii...and I plan on being MUCH THINNER

jeez, open bar AND each bartender had a special? I just might have been the "girl who tried all the drink specials (two or three times) and ended up dancing on John Legend's piano". <img src="http://kiw.imgag.com/imgag/product/thumbs/3125869a.gif"> So are we set? Next year i go to hawaii in a suitcase?
