Well, look at it this way......you're going to get a diagnosis and then be able to know and have a treatment for what has been bothering you for quite awhile. If your dx and tx doesn't allow you to use MF, you'll find a different program to lose the weight....first thing is to find out what you are up against and then start to repair the damage or soothe the symptoms. Sorry you are having these struggles when you were so ready to get going on the program..

She is good, isn't she? Joleen can play a pretty good Mommy card too but she tries to keep it secret.

Hey, Beth, how are you doing? Chynna had diverticulitis, which made me think of you ...

Hi Beth Chynna here! I understand from Robin that you may possibly have diverticulitis. I was recently diagnosed with it and released from the hospital yesterday. How are you feeling? I didn't like the effects of it AT ALL. I'm eating somewhat bland stuff right now. If you get a chance pm me..would love to talk with you. Take care.

Hey there. I am supposed to get a colonoscopy in two weeks to find out for sure, but I just got a $3500 dental bill I need to deal with first. So I am putting it off for a bit. I believe it was diverticulosis (not diverticulitis). I was eating a lot of bad food at work (popcorn, nuts, etc) and they really took a toll on my bowels. They were so inflamed that they were blocking all of my other organs on an ultrasound. I have been following doctor's orders and staying away from foods like popcorn, nuts, seeds, processed foods, anything really greasy, and all dairy products. It took a few weeks, but the swelling and bloating has gotten better.

I think I may actually try and re-start MF tomorrow. I have 8 days worth of food, and if I stay on plan for that long, he will let me order more. Knowing my history, I would say he is a smart man.

We have also started talking about trying for a second baby, so I am not looking to get to my real goal, but I would love to lose 20 pounds first. this way I can avoind getting really heavy after pregnancy.

hey Robbbb...now the way they wee trying to explain it to me is that diverticulosis IS the disease, and when infection sets in THEN it causes diverticulitis..all TO confusing for heavens sake!

But Beth, OUCH on that $3500 dental bill..BOY dentist sureeeee know how'ta charge'ya. Hope you are managing ok until you can go for your colonscopy. I have one scheduled this spring. Never had one before so i don't know WHAT to expect..all i know is i wanna be OUT COLD...lol!

Hi all. Today is day 6 of me being sick as a dog. I have bronchitis and a stomach virus, at the same time. They gave me antibiotics, but I cannot even take them because I am constantly in the bathroom as it is. I made homemade chicken soup for dinner last night, and I had stomach issues all night. Today it is dry toast and tea.

Any suggestions to get all this phlegm out of my chest? I have tried Mucinex-D, but it gives me awful reflux.

Ask you rdoctor for a good antibiotic !

I had bronchial asthma for 4 weeks and they gave me an antibiotic, medral dose pack, hydrocodone cough syrup, and an inhaler !

It worked !

Beth i am just now reading about you being so sick. I am soooo sorry that you are battling multiple things:+(( You will be in my prayers to start feeling better soon.

I use to get bronchitis ALOT, and my doctor ordered breathing treatments via a nebulizer with Albuterol Sulfate, Inhalation Solution, 0.083% vials to help relieve things...just a suggestion...but it really HELPED me a great deal, but of course your doctor would have to order the portable nebulizer machine.

Prayers are with you:+)

Well I am sure you are all sick of hearing about my belly issues. Hopefully it will all come to an end soon. I have my colonoscopy scheduled for 2/26. I know my GI doctor is not a big advocate of Medifast (he has seen too many people get the euphoria of losing weight fast, just to go back to eating crap and gaining everything back), but we'll talk about it.

I'll keep checking back.
