Hi, Debra :). Sounds like you are doing great !! And hey, a 5 pound difference is a 5 pound difference. I am betting that at some points I was probably even higher than the weight I used to start with.

Anyway, about the flavor of things... I have to say that for a little while I was freaking out about it. It all tasted the same to me on day 2 and 3 because for some reason the more I ate the more I tasted the soy. BUT, things mellowed out in that department for me quickly after that. Things that I thought I disliked to begin with, suddenly tasted quite good to me weeks later when I tried them again. As a matter of fact, I have grown to prefer the MF flavor of things so much that when I have ventured off program and had some of the "normal" products of the same thing (like choco pudding and oatmeal), the "normal" stuff tasted absolutely horrible to me. I couldn't *stand* eating it anymore and preferred the MF !!

Keep on keepin' on :).

Cheers,
Karli

ps-- I just wanted you to know that I borrowed your little 'bagging things up idea' for my trip here. It's great and so nice and organized !

DAY 3

Morning everyone! So today is day three. Things are still running smoothly.Had fish and veggies for dinner.Tried the Chai Tea last night and I will say I dont like it.I drank most of it but couldnt get down the rest. There is a spice in it I dont care for.Nutmeg, ginger??? Not too sure but other than that I thought the texture was fine. I cant wait for the hot chocolate and cappucino.

Today is as follows:

8am-Orange Creme Shake
11am-Oatmeal Raisin Bar
130pm-Chicken Noodle Soup
430pm-Peach Oatmeal
700ish-L&G
9ish-Banana Pudding

Water is doing awesome...I get 8, 16.9oz, bottles of H2O in daily. And I probably have one or two sf drinks a day.

Exercise I havent really started yet.I am gonna do my elliptical this Saturday to get back in the rythym of it.I wasnt too sure if it would have been a good idea to start the first few days since I am adjusting. But I am very much looking forward to toning again...I cant wait to see how hot I look in a bikini i bought back in June, this summer. :eyecrazy:

Karli- Thats cool, that you are adopting the bagging idea. Kinda honored to have my drill sargent :whip: using the idea...LOL. Its quick and easy and eliminates some of the daily thought process. The less I have to think about, the better.Thats why i thought MF would be good, b/c they give you the tools and thats pretty much it. And everyone here with all there great suggestions and helpful hints and answers there eliminates more thinking.
So thats cool. Hope your trip is going along well...

Hey Girl, you are doing great! I really envy all of you on those elliptical trainers. I tried one at the gym a few months ago and I literally couldn't do more than two minutes. My legs were jello! I know I'm way out of shape though so you guys must rock!

I just read on a post that for the first three days you should have three shakes before 2pm...I didnt do that. Was that an old rule???

Yep, that's an old rule. You should just make sure that you eat a supplement or L&G every 2.5-3 hours starting within one hour of waking in the mornin'

Taan! WELCOME!!! I just read through your journal ~ WOW! Sounds like you have got everything sorted out. I would check with your health adviserr on the exercise though; you are usually supposed to wait 3 weeks (I did, and still lost 21 pounds). But if I recall (and my memory is NOT the best...lol) she said to walk a little if you were doing so on a regular basis before MF, but not to start anything until y our body was adjusted. Sounds like you are doing great -- and trust me, 5 lbs is pretty common -- i lost 13 lbs the first week! so stick with the same scale for now (it doesn't matter if it is different from your doctors -- most are) as it will be the one you are weighing in on weekly. I am so excited you are here!!!! The new year will be incredible for you!

DAY 4

So today started early for me.I leave work to go to get lab work done at 230. So my eating times have shifted.

630am-Banana Creme Shake
930am-Choco Bar
1230ish-Cream of Brocolli Soup
330ish-Maple and Cinnamon Oatmeal
630-L&G
930-Cappucino

Still doing great on water intake.

Casma you are right, and after I read alot of older posts on the forum here last night I have seen that you shouldnt exercise right away. I mean I consider myself pretty good with exercising but havent done so in several months so I guess that means wait a few weeks.I have it in my mind that if I exercise I will do better but right now I understand it may intervene with the weight loss.So i will wait. Thanks for your enthusiasm.
Glad to be here with ya too!!!

Other than that I am feeling a little queasy right this second. But some lady did walk in front of me with some horrible perfume, it could have turned my stomach a smidge b/c I was fine right before I walked in...blech

Hang in there! The first two weeks are toughest. After that it's fairly routine and your taste buds have adjusted. You're doing great.

I helped her undecorate her Chrismas decor. She is prego and I offered my help. Then we watched a movie.Over all it was a pleasant day but warm....82!?!?!? In Decemeber?? Ridiculous.

Hope everyone is having a great end of the year...talk to you all later. :)
