WooHoo! I lost 3.8 pounds this week! I wish that would happen every week! After my closet adventure yesterday and disappointment that some of my size 12 jeans were too tight to wear comfortably it was nice to receive some more scale love this morning.

I hope everyone else had some good losses this week!

Thanks Biki!

I just noticed that in 2.8 more pounds I will be one-third of the way to goal! My goal still seems really far away but I'm a lot closer than I was 52 days ago!

I was just putting clothes away after doing the laundry and noticed I had forgotten all about that top shelf full of jeans/pants/tops in the top of my pants closet. I think they are all 8s and 10s but now I have more to look forward to!!! Just like going shopping. :D

I'm down again this morning -.6 and I'll take it! I am so glad I got this new scale so I could see even small losses. :D

Big turmoil at work this week. THe reduction in force letters are being delivered and I expect high drama and stress. I made sure I had plenty of my MF favorites in my work stash so I don't give in to something I shouldn't eat. A co-worker brought in chocolate cake this morning. Grrr :x . That's my favorite but I'll just have a chocolate bar for lunch.

Thanks Skye!

Three of the people getting letters called in sick today. I think they knew something was up but now they have to face it tomorrow. That means the drama lasts 2 days instead of 1. :x Oh well, I will just keep a low profile and be glad I am not getting a letter. These people already knew but it was still a possibility it might not happen. Now with this current letter it will be final.

Hey, just wanted to pop over and say HI! I hope yesterday wasn't too unbearable. And I hope that those that called in yesterday showed up today so you can be through with all of it.

Hope you have a good day!

Hi Skye - thanks for stopping by. Monday was just okay. Three of the people didn't show up for work which extended the drama to Tuesday. On Tuesday one of them had a complete meltdown which was pretty distressing for everyone. On of the 3 called in sick again. They know what is waiting for them and will be on vacation next week. I think they will call in sick everyday to prevent receiving the letter. Real drama on that one.

I closed my office door for a while yesterday while the meltdown was happening. I just couldn't take it and it made me want to cry too which would not have helped her at all. She went home for the day and peace was restored but I don't know if she is going to be back today.

Some of these people are my friends so it is hard to be a survivor. It will all be over eventually but for now it's just not a happy place.

Thanks for asking!

Linda

I am sorry to hear about the high level of stress at work, but good for you planning ahead. Stress is a real trigger for me, as I would guess is the case for most of us here.

You are doing so good. Just wait till you fit in to your skinny clothes! :D

Hi Linda,
Sorry to hear about your "drama" at work with colleagues...I have found that when it gets rough, I too, close my door ! I have just been doing shakes but have toyed with the idea of bars too...Which ones are tasty versus others? Don't eat the cake !! You can do it !!

Hope, I had the same situation years ago with downsizing. The laying off in the company I worked for was based on merit and there were people leaving who had been around much longer than I. I can still remember sitting at my desk trying to work and being glared at from across the room. Not a good feeling. I could have used a good office door.
