Skye - congrats on joining the 50# club!!! That is fantastic!

I'm glad to hear you have been busy. I was afraid after that one post that maybe you were down in the dumps. It's good to see you and you know family doesn't mind if everything in your home isn't perfect! It hasn't been that long since you moved girl! And, you have small children!

I don't think you are going to get stuck at all this time. You are doing great and making so much progress. I hear you on the chicken noodle soup though. That is one of my least favorite MF supplements. I need to put mine on the swap board along with the beef stew which I abhor. Lately I only want shakes and pudding it seems but I bet as it gets colder I will be wanting oatmeal and cocoa and cappuccino again.

Linda

Hey there Girly Girl! I think you better just pick yourself up out of those dumps and get it together!!! :x

Just kidding... I know you are frustrated right now. AND I know that you are worried about your parents' visit and how your house will be when they get there. Just remember that you do need to MAKE TIME FOR YOU!!! Really, this program has been important to you and you need to keep it that way. Most moms rarely do anything for themselves. Usually the mom is the last one to get new socks and underwear -- AM I RIGHT? Well, you need to make sure that you are making time for you. Remember why you got onto this program in the first place? It was so you would be healthy enough to be around for your children. Keep that thought in mind and go with it.

Miss ya girl! Hang in there K?

Good morning world. I just wanted to post a quick note and let you all know that I am taking a mini-vacation. I am planning on being super busy entertaining my parents while they are in town (they get here tonight btw). And I don't want to be exiled from the board but I will be enjoying some of my mom's homecooking while she's in town. Don't get too worried because she is dieting also. Just not mf and I know I will be having more carbs than allowed. I really don't want to start fights or have people hate me but I do want to be accountable for my actions. So there it is. I am super pumped to see my parents and can't wait until I have some decent pictures to post of my progress so far!

I'm sure I'll check back when they're gone but I probably won't get much computer time while they're here!

Sometimes we must do what we must do for ourselves. You will be fine! Enjoy your time with your parents and maybe you will find that you will have a renewed spirit and desire for MF when they leave.

This is after the fact, but I'm just surprised that no one posted a warning to you that it is quite hard to jump back on after endulging or that there are lots of ways to enjoy your parents that don't revolve around food. Going off and on plan isn't recommended for a reason and that reason is that the majority of those who try it have a huge struggle ahead.

So now everyone can come after me with pitch forks. I'm tough.

If anyone comes after you with pitchforks then they haven't 'gone off of plan and struggled to get back on to it'. It is extemely difficult as we hear over and over again------and some of us have experienced ourselves  . Much easier to stick to program to goal. I did not say anything because by the time I read her note it sounded like it was a done deal.

Skye, I look forward to your return to the boards and hope you won't have a hard time getting back on program. Enjoy your time with your parents! :)

I would just hope that I'm not the only one here willing to speak up, that's all.

I'm with T - sounded pretty much like a done deal and that she knew the risks. I think she expected pitch forks so we all went easy on her. I'm glad Jo spoe up though for the benefit of any other readers who might not know/understand how hard it is to get back on the horse.
