Triskets

Postby Triskets » April 2nd, 2007, 1:36 pm

So I started back on MF - full fast today. I was at Nodstrom's last week and I tried on some really cute spring tops (they were actually cute and in the big girls department). I tried on the 3X (the largest they have) and it was toooooo tight! ACK! No wonder my bra has been giving me problems. I jumped on the scale and was up to my highest ever - 264. Yuck, Yuck and Yuck!
There are so many things I'm tired of about being FAT. I'll talk about them later.
Over this past weekend after I'd made the decision to re-start MF today, I ate all my favorite foods. Or I should say I thought they were my favorite foods. In all honesty, they tasted like dog doo doo and I felt even worse after eating them. Yuck, Yuck and more Yuck!
This morning I was thinking about food in general or maybe that's eating in general. What's the big deal anyway? Why do we/I put somuch emphasis on food? You have to go to the store and buy it, take it home and put it away, take it out and p4repare it and then cook it and then eat it and then clean up afterwards. I'd rather spend that time reading a book, working on my projects, playing ball with my dog, talking a walk with my dog, shopping for handbags! Looking in my closet at all the smaller sized clothing I'm going to get to wear again and looking at the BIG clothes I can get rid of. Or, take a nice long bubble bath. One of my favorite bubble bath products is Johnson & Johnson bed time bath. (Or the generic at Target is just as good and a fraction of the price). It is scented wih lavender and camomille. If you need a good relax that's the way to go.
So I'm back and have committed to staying on MF at least until Labor Day.

So is your name based on the cracker? (I love Triskets!)

Thanks Everyone for your comments. It is nice to be back. I slept really well last night.
My nickname Triskets is a combination of Trish (my name) and trouble. A friend of mine came up with it.
And Triscuit crackers are good aren't they? Have you noticed that the rediced fat crackers are much better tasting than the full fat ones? They are far more crunchy.
And with the country so worried about childhood obesity why do the food manufacturers keep pushing high sugared breakfast foods at childdren?
What's with Special K adding chocolate chips to the cereal? That's insane!
Parents worry about their kids having ADHD - did anyone ever stop to think that maybe it's sugar overload instead? Geech!
On another note, why do manufacturer's of cat food add red dye to the food? Do they not know that cats get hair balls? And when a cat has a hairball and barfs up the hair and previously eaten food that the red dye from the food stains the carpet? How stupid is that? Cats don't care what color their food is. I don'tare what color their food is as long as it's nutrious and they like it. Geech!
Those are my editorial comments for the day.
Have a good one eveyone! Keep on Medifasting!
Trish

Soft cat food has gone WAY downhill in recent years. It's all made with mostly fish now no matter what the flavor is! Also have you noticed they put grain and stuff in it? No wonder our pets are getting overweight just like we are, all those carbs!

I have to buy fancy feast for my kitty cause that's the only kind that has REAL meat in it not just fish flavored like meat. He hates fish and will only eat chicken or liver.

Sometimes he won't even eat the fancy feast so I might have to start buying cheap chicken at the grocery store for him and cooking it myself. Pathetic what they are doing to our pets for a buck. :x

I was reading in one of the topcs and one of our MFer's had a pair of pants that were too tight before MF and were too large after awhile on the program. That's what I love about this "diet". Let's be honest - this has to be the hardest diet on the face of the earth and I think it's the most rewarding as far as fast weight loss. My personality type is "I want what I want and I want it now!". So weighing myself daily is a reward. The pitfall is that I get frustrated if I don't lose weight overnight. Patience is a virtue I have to work at.

Pashta - I finally went to the pet store and bought good food for my cats. Cats in the wild don't eat grain and domestics don't want to eat grain either! Poor kitties...

I don't agree at all. I have been on this diet for 135 days and most almost everyday, if I eat all my supplements and get in all my water, I do not experience real hunger. Being hungry is what makes a diet hard. This is simple. 5-1-water. Done.

In my opinion, this is the easiest diet I have ever done, and believe me, I have tried almost everything. !

So life is a real joy. I've been on this diet many times (re-tries I should say) but this time I feel better than I've ever felt in all my 51 years. I have enough energy for 2 people. I can work all day, go running after work and still have energy to play soccer with the dogs. Come bed time I crash and burn and get a good night's sleep. I thank God everyday for this incredible experience and I pray that I keep on feeling this good.
