Hi!

hi, everyone. i was reading this board and it seems like you are all so fantastic and supportive! i figured i would introduce myself, because i could use a healthy dose of support.
i began mf a few days ago. i had been fasting anyways because of a viscious breakup, and it was suggested that i take my lack of appetite and use it for something constructive. so far, i don't think i have lost any weight, but i'm at 300 right now, so it HAS to start coming off sometime, right?
i am hoping that this works for me. i lost 100lbs over the last 2 years and kept it off, but have stalled out since. i'm ready for a change. wish me luck.

Welcome, Alex. Medifast will certainly work for you if you give it a chance. You say you don't THINK you've lost weight yet. Do you weigh yourself? It's the best way to know for sure. :)

We're here to help. And sorry about the breakup. You'll have him (or I guess it could be her; I don't want to presume) eating his heart out soon.

Hi Alex!

Yep this program really does work, fast or slow it does work and faster than conventional diets it seems. It seems the more weight you have to lose the faster it goes. :)

Welcome!

Welcome Alex! It is great to have you here with us. This group is really the best around. Just stick with the program and you will be healthier, thinner and happier in no time.

Sorry about the break up but I am glad to hear that you have taken what was a negative in your life and turned it into a positive. I probably would have eaten everything I could find if that happened to me!

thanks for all the good wishes everyone!

dogma was right; my ex is a woman. and, after a 6 year relationship, started screwing around within 2 weeks of our breakup. not particularly great for my self esteem.

she had a gastric bypass a few years ago and lost a few hundred pounds, but now has a raging case of bulimia. i changed my eating habits to be supportive of her (which is how i lost the 100bs). now, after she has been successful and moved on without a thought, i guess i feel desperate to get my own life back under control. getting rid of my excess weigh seems like a good start.

but i know i can't do it alone--
so thank you guys for the welcome.
