Hi, Lynn! Welcome to the forum! This is an easy one - it works and it works fast :).

I have been on countless plans where I was hungry, tired and deprived only to lose just a little at the end of the week! I became frustrated and gave up! With Medifast I have felt WONDERFUL - I even feel better mentally! I am full of energy and rarely, if ever, hungry! I'm only hungry (and its only occasionally) when its time for a meal. You eat at least six times a day and it is E-A-S-Y! I love the simplicity but I love the weight loss and the way my body feels most!

I've been on the plan since 10.4.07 so one month today. I am down 17.4 pounds, 1 pants size and 24 inches. That's never happened to me on other programs!!

Good luck on your decision - - I hope you select Medifast cuz I know you'll lose it!!

hmmm... I have only been on MF for 3 days, today is my fourth, and I LOVE the program. After I had my daughter 9 months ago, I tried low cal with sparkpeople.com and I lost 8 opunds I wasn't able to stay with the program. So then I tried WW and after 2 months was back up those 8 pounds. I couldn't not cheat so there laid my problem. I needed a diet that had all the meals balanced out. And MF was the only one that doctor recommended AND was within my price range. It's about $100 less a month than Nutrisystem, and HALF the price of Jenny Craig. So I signed up and there have been no regrets. Not even when I had to go out with my father-in-law and fiance for dinner. I ordered my salad and enjoyed every bite because I knew that while they were eaten that fat laden steak, I was being compliant and losing weight.
MF is a great program. I just take it a meal at a time, and a banana muffin at a time too. (Made them last night and are delish.)
You have to find a lifestyle change that works for you. After trying others, this one is by far the easiest for me.
I hope this helps

This program (and I say program because its not a diet as diets don't work), is nutritionally balanced, doctor approved and used (over 15,000), and over a million people have been successful.
Its been around for over 26 years and ya just can't beat that. There are no hidden $$, no meetings required, no points to count, just new health to look forward to.

We all hope that this helps. Browse the forum and you will see all of the fantastic results.

I chose MF because I saw it work on other family members. Other diets are just that - a diet. What I needed was structure that was going to change my view of food and how I relate to food. With MF, I am learning to view food as a fuel - and nothing more. There is nothing wrong with actually liking the fuel you are using, but I was using food as a crutch. The structure of MF made it easier for me to be compliant. The financial end of it helped me stay focused until the pounds started to melt. What I mean is I had committed myself financially - why would I waste that money and cheat on the plan? Other plans that offer many choices won't work for me because of the choices, the counting the weighing etc. I just don't want to spend that much time focusing on food. With MF - I pour, shake and drink. The less time I spend with food, the better off I am.

I decided on Medifast because I saw my friends sister lose weight on it with a doctor. I did my research and decided it was a good solid program. It made a difference for me that it had been around for a long time and was not a new fad diet.

It has worked for me! I am less than one lb from goal! :D
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

Well I decided on the program because, like many others, i had tried almost every diet known to man (and woman of course)! It was tooo time consuming to count points (WW) too much food preparation (LA Weightloss and many others). I needed something pretty mindless. This was it. I saw that it worked for sooo many people when they stick to plan. Now in the morning i just grab my little ziploc sandwich bag filled with 5 meals for the day and keep it movin! I have my L&G for dinner (sometimes for lunch) No hassle, no muss, no fuss and i am down 12.3 in 2 weeks (results not typical LOL!!!)

Here's just a few reasons for me...

1. It works!

2. Wt. loss is a bit faster and more consistant than other programs, which psychologically, personally helps me stay on the program.

3. It works!

4. Higher energy levels throughout the plan.

5. It works!

6. Less "mood swings" or irritablity due to sugar highs/lows

7. It works!

8. Super easy, little thought involved, which again helps psychologically, 'cause I don't have to think about food all the time (ie, what/when I'm going to eat)

9. It works!

10. Lots of support on this and many other forums/websites

11. Oh, and did I mention it works!?! ;)

I felt desperate enough to research it and try it. I committed to it.
Best of all it worked!
Over 60# off and maintained for over one year at below goal.
Hope you go for it!

I did the research. I needed the weight off and I wanted it off as quickly and safely as possible. Using MF I felt in control of my eating--a good life-lesson! I was filled with energy and never felt deprived or "hungry". I lost 103.5# in less than 11 months (from a size 24 to a size 6 :D ). I'm new to maintenance and I don't find it the least bit difficult to maintain my new thin self--even lost another 4#!

Oh ... by the way .... MF WORKS!!

Felt like this was worth bumping up....

Were you one of the people who added to it before? Some great reasons for sticking with the plan.

I am going to add in: I am saving money by not eating out. I feel better about myself because I am saving money I really need for other things and I feel better about the possibility of buying some new clothes that I really want, not just what fits.
Don't really care as long as everything's better than yesterday was...
