I should have been Pocahontas when I did the Princesses

Postby bikipatra » August 21st, 2007, 3:19 am

from Disney. (For newbies check the Studio.) My mother sent me the coolest news! Dandan is what we called my maternal grandmother.
My mother's email:

I just spent a few hours on Ancestry.com tracing various branches of our family tree back yet a few more generations, and found something sort of cool.

Short version:

Dandan's paternal grandmother was Kate (Lander) Lister. Kate's maternal grandmother was named Lucy Sutherland. Lucy's paternal grandmother was Mary DePriest, whose paternal grandfather was John Bolling. John Bolling's mother was Jane Rolfe, the granddaughter of John Rolfe and Matoaka Pocahontas Powhatan.

Which would make Pocahontas your eleven-times-great-grandmother.

I have always known I was some kind of princess!

That's actually REALLY cool, not just a little cool. You were always a princess to us - now you have the lineage to prove it! :)

Did someone say bacon? I think you can get that on your sandwich at Burger King. That's on program, right?

groannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Dang, but I use to love the bacon cheese Whopper at BK.......and the fries........all washed down with a monster diet coke.

Let us all remove our tiaras for a moment of silence while Tawanda mourns the passing of one of her favorite meals that assisted her in attaining her all time high weight of 222. May that meal never grace my lips (or hips) again..........

Do a search for BK in the archive. I think it may be on program according to some......OMG, let's don't go there again!

I'm just sayin', bebes. While you may be a princess, I'm 3 degrees from Kevin Bacon!

I'm sorry about the BK thing but I just couldn't resist. Congrats on your 3 degrees of separation. I have a cousin who is an actor but have never questioned him about a Bacon connection.
