Hyperthyroidism, on methimazole -- anyone else?

Hi. I'm new to Medifast. I was interested in finding out other people's experiences who are on methimazole (aka tapizol) and are hyperthyroid. My (new) doctor told me about this diet but now I'm a little nervous about the interaction with soy and I'm thinking she didn't realize what she recommended to me!

Thanks, richdan

Fatigue

Hello, friends...

I lost about 60 pounds two years ago with Medifast and then another 40 off the program. I then gained 80% of the weight back very quickly. I have been back on Medifast now for nearly three weeks and have lost about 15 pounds which is great. What I don't remember from the last time, was this overwhelming fatigue. For the past week, just going about my daily chores and errands exhausts me. ...

Perimenopausal and on MF

I am curious if there are other women who are 40ish + years old going through perimenopause?

I have irratic weight loss due to water retention two weeks prior to TOM - 2 weeks of PMS, bloating and tenderness.

Just curious about other's results? Some times it just helps to know I am not the only one.

regards,
sfjoy

anyone on carb blockers?

I am wondering? My doctor provided me with a carb blocking Rx and suggested also to take fiber before my meals. He is very supportive of the South Beach Diet and that is his perferred method of weight loss, however, he was fully behind me when I told him I was going to MF.

The amount of carbs on some of the products (bar) are high? I was just curious what others are using?

I've only been on MF for six days and have been noticing that my hair is falling out more. I am getting concerned about this. Does this last very long. Is there anything one can take to stop this?

High Liver Enzymes

I don't know if this is the right place or not, but I couldn't see anywhere else this would fit in.

Has anyone else experienced this during the diet? I had blood work done last tuesday and they came up high. My doctor said he wanted to re-test me in a week so I went back yesterday. He called me today and said they were even higher. He said he's not super worried but wants ...

Yearly visit

Hi all, I went to the doctor yesterday for my annual gynecological check. The doctor was pleased about the 20 lbs lost since last year but continued with "you are still at very high risk for ovarian, uterine and breast cancer with the amount of body fat you have" she went on to explain that the extra body fat increases estrogen and therefore increases risk of cancer.
She want's me to continue to lose weight ...
