Massages are so heavenly....I hope you enjoyed yours and are so relaxed that you sleep like a baby tonight.

As I was bringing up your journal a little bit ago - I was like Merry Mary - quite contrary..how does your garden grow.....Do you by chance like to garden? There is just something so sweet and honest about you...you always bring a smile to my face.

Thanks, Hol. Getting a massage is one of those "self-care" things I do. ... And it's cheaper than therapy!! :roflmao:

You seem to have such a nice disposition, Sue. Very cheerful!

I had a lot of flower beds at my previous house but after my husband died there was so much to take care of I had to minimize things. Now I have a covered patio and keep my flowers in pots! I have become a bird watcher though (I have a wooded lot) and simply enjoy nature!

I get a massage twice a week at PT, but they make me work an hour for it!

Mary~ I'm so sorry to hear that your husband past away. He was a very blessed man to have you in his life. I wish I had the right words to say.......something comforting, but I know no matter what I say, it doesn't really ease the pain. Just know that I'll hold you in my heart and lift you up in prayer.

Please KNOW that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Like Donica says, he WASSSS a very blessed man having you in his life. Nothing that we could say right now, even if it's meant to try and comfort you, could not take the place of your most precious loss. I will be here if you need me. You are both so sweet. I suppose I should have mentioned it earlier but I was reluctant to get a journal going until recently. My DH died 13 years ago. It was rather sudden and difficult but I've grieved his passing and I am in a better place now. I can remember the good times we shared with a sense of joy rather than pain. The saying, "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" is quite true!! We blessed each other in life and I believe he is still blessing mine even now.

So ladies, thank you for your concern and prayers ... I really appreciate them and your friendship. After all, being in relationship with one another is what life is all about, isn't it?

So today was the day of the neighborhood garage sale. I had some things that moved in with me 3 years ago that I haven't used so I thought it was a good idea to participate ... besides, there were all these "big" clothes in my closet. :lol:

An unexpected NSV happened when these ladies were looking over my sizes 18-24. They must have been looking for someone else because neither of them was even a sz 16. One of them said, "These aren't your clothes are they?" To which I replied, "Yes, but I've lost weight." To which she responded, "Oh! I just thought they couldn't be yours because you are so skinny!" SKINNY! Can you imagine?? :roflmao:

Just had to journal that because I'm sure I can get a lot of motivational mileage out of it! :lol:

I have to admit though ... after that comment I looked at the clothes that were hanging and they seemed large. You know how it can take a while to mentally catch up to the weight loss? Well, I think that lady's remark brought me up to speed! It was nice.
