Well, after 9 weeks on MF I think it is time to start a journal. Okay, so this is how my story starts. I've been married 11 years, and have four kids.
( 12, 6,5,2). Two boys two girls. After having my first child I put on a lot of weight, and it just coming after that. I've tryed countless diets with no results, till MF. When I started I weighed 252# and I am only 5'2. But now I am so pumped about this program!!! So here are just a few of my goals:

:) 1. To get healthy for myself.
2.To look and feel good about myself.
3. A weightloss of 50# by my birthday(July 20)
4. To be able to keep up with my kids.
5. To get back to my pre-baby size (12)

Okay, just five for now, After lossing 38# aready, I'm well on my way! :D We went to a party and nobody noticed. :( By for now. :byebye:

Hiya Dm,
Congrats on the weightloss. That is great 38# in 9 weeks. I think that they did notice but just did not want to say anything. Some people are jealous. And some people get nervous because they dont want to say something just in case you have not lost. Trust me that has happened to me. Wow 4 kids. You must be one busy lady.

Hiya, dm!
Welcome to journaling!
You sound pumped, girl!
Your goals are great ~ and your #3 goal is almost accomplished already!
You have 11.5 lbs to go and 62 days (including today) in which to do it.
You need lose only 0.185 lbs per day to achieve your goal - !!
Seems totally doable, doesn't it?
You're right...you're well on your way!

Glad you've begun a journal dmhearts! You've done excellent in losing the 38#, don't let it get you down that people haven't noticed......you are doing excellent and sometimes people are just so focused on other things that they don't think to mention what they are seeing about others.

Thanks everyone! Iwork with a lady that is very negative to me about my weightloss, but I know that it is only because she can't. I know that in my heart of hearts that I can do this program, and I will get there soon! :D This lady someday will change her mind and want to know all about MF. Why can't everyone just be happy for you!
Yes, my kids keep me on my toes. My kids are one of my reasons for doing MF, I want to be able to run with them without getting winded or having to rest. My oldest is my walking partner. He tells friends that by the end of summer he will not have his cubby tummy anymore. :D I hope that by me trying to better myself it will rob of on him too! Thanks for listening to me ramble on.

Hi dmhearts :wavie:

I'm Mavesse!

I love that you've got your son walking with you. What a neat way to spend time together :stroll: I teach sixth grade boys and have you ever noticed, that when you're walking or driving, they really open up? My brother says it's because it's easier to talk when they don't have to look me in the eye ;)

Hi

Postby dede4wd » May 21st, 2007, 1:50 pm

Hi,
Nice to meetcha, I'm DeDe.

Wow, you're doing so great so far! That's wonderful! As for people not noticing, with me people didn't notice until between 35-40lbs. But I didn't help matters much, I hadn't bought any new clothes, I was just belting the old clothes. I noticed a lot more people making comments about my loss when I bought stuff that FIT!

Yes, there are some jealous folks that try to make fun or put others down because they're just jealous that you're doing something to improve your health and life and they're not. Ignore them and maybe as you move on you can inspire them to do something about their health. I've inadvertently inspired some friends and co-workers and they're not doing something about their health. That makes me so proud!

As for walking with your kiddo, that's so awesome! The habit of health is so important and you guys get some bonding time!

60 pounds. I lost 60 pounds before anyone said anything about my weight. I agree with DeeDee, wearing clothes that actually fit the new you make it easier to see the weight loss.

I know this place is the best. And the people know what you are going through. On top of it you will not have one person here discourage you. I get a lot of people telling me that I should not do this program. But they do not know anything about it.

Welcome to the forum! I'm so glad you started a journal. Everyone is so encouraging and has so much good advice to share. I've lost 30 so far, and no one has noticed, either. My hubby just decided to cut down on salt in his diet, and everyone noticed his weight loss right away. Not fair!

It's so great you've even started exercising, too! I need to add that to my routine. GREAT JOB so far!! :clapclap:
