i do like austin. san antonio is okay... but austin is about the only place i'd really fit in texas-- and no, not just because of the size of my ass.

i really like north carolina, but i'm not sure about how big my dating pool would be.

florida is the most tempting, because i love (really love) the water and could snorkel or dive every day. it's just, well, florida kinda sucks, so the trade is huge.

My husband and I are moving to Austin when my son graduates from high school. My hubby lived there for seven years before moving to the Dallas area. I can't wait! It has such a cool vibe and is so laid-back. Not to mention the amount of outdoor activities you can accomplish. We have to drive for 15 or 20 minutes to even find a decent "scenic" running course and even then, it's not much...

I hear such great things about Austin, but so far my experiences there haven't been very good for some reason.

I lived in Florida for a couple of years as a kid and HATED it. For so many reasons.

Denver was nice except for the blizzards.

It appears I have the position I applied for. The board has to approve it, but then I'm a tenure track instructor. It's a bit like winning the lottery, except...uh...no one asks whether I'll quit my job.

It's local. I've been adjunct there for two years. Wow. I don't even know what to do about it all.

So that's the interview with the person who wouldn't even look at you? Cool. (Hey, and my cousin in Denver just got a job yesterday, too. Yay!!)

Congrats, Alex!!
