I know there are numerous threads about adding another shake, etc when incorporating exercise in with MF.
My question is this:
My trainer said for my workouts, I need to eat 1200 calories a day. I told him about MF but he said that thats too low of a calorie count for what I do.
I was thinking about eating 1100-1200 calories a day but all MF shakes, food, etc. I know its alot but will I still lose if I'm working it off?
I'm thinking that if I'm working out enough, maybe the extra calories will burn and it will be like still eting only 800-1000 cal a day?
My plan is to drink a shake before working out, 1 C Low fat Cottage Cheese after the the rest of the day follow the 5-1 regularly. I'm supposed to eat protein within 1 hr of getting home from working out. So, basically I would have an extra shake and a cup of cottage cheese that wouldn't count.
Anyone know? I wasn't sure if anyone has lost weight at an ok pace while exercising right from the beginning. |

| I'm not much help with this, but I CAN tell you from previous experience, I would NOT increase my calories from Medifast's 800 or so to 1200 in one shot. I'd do it gradually. |

Personally, I would follow the Medifast guidelines.
Why tweak a proven program? |

Yeah, I agree to not mess with a proven program. However, my mom is paying for my trainer since she wanted me to go with her. My aunt also goes, its the 3 of us ( a package deal).
I don't want them to know about MF because they will just talk crap and tell me what a waste, I'll gain it back, etc.
I was trying to figure out a way of doing MF because I really cant get out of training with them every morning.
We do 30 min cardio and 30 min weight training. Im afraid its too much w/ MF and I wont lose any weight. |

| Just tell your trainer to lighten up your workout. He's working for you. |

| I do 25-30 minutes of cardio and then 20 minutes of weights at least 4 days a week. I drink an extra shake or sometimes add 1-2 ounces of chicken/fish to my lunch supplement (usually soup). In my opinion, the exercise has helped me feel better, remain focused, and gain strength. |
