| BTW, I'm sure Nancy will post something snazzier when she gets back, but in the meantime (and for anyone whose order date is coming up before then), chili is on sale this month. I wish I needed some!! |

| That's like when they put winter coats on sale in the summer. Maybe they want us to stock up for the winter when they put the teas on sale... |

| I'm just being sarcastic. I love the chili. I found a Mrs. Dash Chipolte spice I put on it and it's yummy. |

Has anyone made the recipe with chili that you cook in your crockpot?
OOoooooo....it is good and makes enough for 6 chili meals.
Just in case....
6 pkts Homestyle chili
3 cups water
2 Tbls chili powder (More or less to taste)
2 Tbls Caldo de Tomato (like Caldo de Pollo but just has tomato taste)
Cook on low for 2-3 hours, stirring once and a while.
Let cook a bit, pack in your favorite Ziploc bowls, 3/4 cup per each bowl.
Makes enough for at least 6-7 bowls.
Enjoy! |

| I would try the chili if they made a version without beans. I hate beans! |

don't worry about the beans in the chili. they don't taste like beans; they taste like dirt clods. see? no worries.
i actually like the chili, in a weird way. but the beans are always a little crunchy. |

It is like boullion.
It comes in powder and in cubes and you can usually find it in the mexican aisle of a grocery store.
The kind I buy is Knorr
Caldo is the word for soup in Spanish.
Hope you can find it. |
