Hi,
I had a question re. Type 2 Diabetics who have their numbers under control through proper diet alone. Can they try the non-Diabetic versions of Medifast Foods, or should we completely stay away from regular Medifast products like pudding or some other soups?
I'm not talking about going completely off the diabetic products, just replacing a meal now and then with a non diabetic version.
Thanks for you help on this.

Hi there, Mellowmom ~
I have a number of clients that use the regular line of Medifast products once they have their glucose readings within normal ranges. Some use all the regular line of shakes, soups and puddings and of course they exercise daily. Some Type 2 diabetics with normal glucose readings occasionally use a regular bar but most do not use them because they do raise their blood sugar.
Dr. Andersen, the Medical Director for Medifast Diet and Take Shape For Life suggests that diabetics use the diabetic bars. |

Thanks for the info, Nancy
I plan on going back to Curves after my intial 3 weeks on the plan are over. Maybe then I'll try some of the non-diabetic products.

Take it easy the first few weeks you start at Curves. Exercise should be limited to 40-45 minutes max per day as the caloric intake will not support intense high-calorie burns.
Slurp plenty of water and you may need some Fast Soup or a cup of bouillon to replenish sodium loss. |
