Does anyone know the optimal ratio between HDL and LDL cholesterol? I had my blood checked last friday and my test results were as follows:

Total Cholesterol: 134
HDL: 37
Ratio: 3.6

Hi Jenn,
I went looking in my hubbies medical reports. His ratio is 3.85 . His Dr. seemed happy with this number. He had a heart atatck in l993 so is always closely monitored by a cardiologist. On the report it says the ratio should be between 0 and 5 so according to this your ratio looks good. A total cholesterol of 134 is really great. Sounds like you are a healthy girl!!

Wow! You have great numbers! Before I lost weight with Medifast, my cholesterol was pretty high. Mine dropped 110 points - you are sitting pretty!
