So now I'm confused!
Should we be having any particular combination of replacements on the 5 & 1 plan, or can we choose from all of them?
I typically eat a shake in am, then oatmeal, a soup and crisps for lunch, a bar late afternoon, my l&g at 6:30, then a pudding for dessert. Is this OK???
There's a lot of contradictions on this thread...

You seem to be on the right track. You want to have 5 MF meals, in any order that you want, (not to include fast soups, crisps and crackers - these are NOT meal replacements) and limit to one bar a day. It is suggested that you try and have only one snack a day.

You are on the right track! Keep up the great work!

But ...

Avoid having a bar as your first or last meal of the day. And IF you have trouble losing weight, they recommend you have at least two shakes a day. Many people lose just fine without doing that, though.
