| I'm glad that you liked them, Dogma. I used some parchment paper on a cookie sheet and sprayed it with Pam. I also added a pinch of the instant sugar-free apple cider mix to mine...and Boy, howdy! They are mah-velous! |

OK, cookies with a little sugar-free banana syrup instead of vanilla? Yummmmmmmm. All it needs is some toasted walnuts. |

| They are the Davinci syrups. Sugar free and they are great! Do a search for them and find a low price as they are somehting like $8 a bottle at the main website. I bought mine for $4.77 each online. You can also find them at a TJMaxx for $5.99 or other places like HiHealth for that price too. It all works out even if you have to pay for shipping. |

| I've just tried the recipe, and the chewy part didn't bother me at all! I added a little banana flavoring and voila!!--banana/ apple muffins (sort of!) Yummy |

Hey! I tried some walnut flavoring in my Apple Oaties and I loved it!
With the apple bits in the cookies and the walnut flavor it feels like a real live oatmeal cookie rolling around in the mouth.
I edited and cutesied up the recipe a bit. Curesy makes baking time fun.
I think they are a bit too sweet,
particularly if you add any Sugar-Free syrups or Sugar-free Apple Cider Mix
and my preference is 1 packet of Splenda.
I added Pumpkin Pie spice and that was great and next time I go to the grocery store, I'll look for Apple Pie Spice and try it.
The baking time may vary, depending upon how big around and how thick you make the cookies.
I use a baking stone and make four cookies. To avoid rubbery cookies, bake them 12+ minutes.
Makes ya feel like your cheatin' while you're thinnin'!
I love Medifast!! |

The oatmeal cookies don't have to be cookies! I went out and bought a few of those little 2X4" rectangular baking tins, mixed up 3 batches of MF oatmeal cookie recipe, and poured into the baking tins - voila! I now have 3 oatmeal BARS to take to work this week for breakfast (I work 3 days/week)!
But you guys probably already knew you could do this. I just prefer the rectangular look of a bar instead of separate cookies. I even found a tiny ROUND baking dish in the Christmas Tree Shop here...hmmm, a round oatmeal bar....the possibilities are endless! |

Lisa in NY ~
That is a totally impressive idea!
Love it!
How long did you bake the bar?
Sortta sounds like those little bananner breads or fruitcakes we bake at Christmas...hmmm now I wonder what we could do with bananner syrup and walnut syrup added to the oatmeal - maybe it would taste like bananner bread!
You are a creative one, Lisa in NY! |

Hi Nancy,
I baked the oatmeal "bars" for 15 mins. - just like the cookies. I'm at work enjoying it now - delicious!
(I'm sure others would be able to add syrups, etc. and make them even better - I haven't gotten any of the syrups yet)

Lisa in NY ~
I am on maintenance so I can do this - Gentle Readers, if you are on the weight loss phase, you may NOT do this...yet...
You know how the French Vanilla Berry Oatmeal has about 8 - 10 freeze dried bueberries?
I'll add about 8-10 raisins or craisins to my Apple Cinnamon Oaty Bar ala Lisa in NY.
You Losers, happy Maintenance Days are coming for you - if you do not lose heart and give up!
You, too will be munching on an Oatmeal Cookie Bar and sippin' a cup of coffee at your desk.
Remember: Losers are winners. |

Ok, I just made these. They turned out perfect. Not runny at all. They are soooooo good!
Thanks so much for the recipe.
This diet is going to be a lot easier than I thought. |

Okay, I am a big dork, but I had to post this in the hopes of saving someone from...okay, maybe I am the only one who would do this..
Here's the deal. I was trying to plan ahead and make a few baggies of oatmeal cookies. I did so, left the cookies in school. Came in the next day, shared some with a classroom helper and had one myself. They were really extra soft and chewy and tasted pretty good. A while later I picked up another one and turned it over. They were moldy . That was why they were so chewy. So, the lesson here is: This stuff goes bad fast! Make and eat on same day or make it the night before and eat that next AM.
I thought since they were cooked they would last like regular cookies- yeah, not so much. |

Awww....You're not a dork, Little Darlin'.
I have not made more than a double batch at a time and Terry scarfed his packet's worth up before I got the kitchen cleaned up!
Thank you for your heads-up! I appreciate you!
