Thanks you guys!

Actually we are celebrating next weekend. My husband surprised me a few months back and told me that he planned a weekend away for us, KIDLESS...hehe. He is taking me to Santa Cruz and my brother and sil are watching the kids. I can't wait to just sit at the beach and relax. I also have a sister and bil who live over there so we will be seeing them also.

Can't wait! ( but soo soooo nervous about leaving my kidlets!!)

Today we went on a 2 mile hike. It was wonderful, and very tiring and hot. It was a gorgeous day in Tildon Park and the views were amazing. I was surprised at how well I did, over all. There's hope for me yet! lol

Well it's official!!!!!!! icon_cool.gif

I am out of my tight 28 capri's and into my 26's!!! Woohoo that was one of my mini goals!

I've been walking about two miles each day. Got a pedometer and love it! With that I walk 5-7 thousand steps a day. Working up to that 10,000 steps a day.

Walking, sweater, breathing heaving.....does wonders for my soul and MIND!! I can't believe my outlook on life when I am getting some physical activity!

So if I ever post about being down or slacking on the program you need to ask me...."Did you walk today??" icon_wink.gif

SharonR, with this mindset you are SURE to make your goal. I saw your NSV post and it has inspired me to quit making excuses and walk now....as we are about the same size, so if you can do it I can do it. It is so great that you have such a good attitude about physical activity.

Just think...if you are already walking 2 miles/day NOW, imagine what your progress will be like in the weeks and months to come! Those pounds will just be rolling right off.

I'm giving myself a conservative goal of being out of my 24's by the end of the month, so it's encouraging for me to see that you've dropped a size! Congrats on that as well!

Thanks Michelle! Yeah it's tough to make that choice to get out and walk, but it took me about a week to just do it each day, even if it was just 3/4 to a mile walk, then the second week it got easier and now I am into my third and it feels good knowing I can do 2 miles at one time.

And the scale is moving down again!!

So here we are....

Last Thurs. I started doing the 4&2 plan. I was having such a hard time sticking to the 5&1, lets face it, I wasn't. I was cheating.

With the 4&2 I feel so much more satisfied. I feel great, and since last Thurs I have lost 7 pounds. Is that crazy or what??? I have been walking a ton, 2-4 miles a day. Loving that.

I feel better than I have in a LONG TIME. icon_mrgreen.gif

If 4&2 has you feeling good and losing weight, stick with it! You know, some days you are really hungry and other days you're just not - I think it's great that there are different options here for us. I like to try for a 6&0 but I end up with a 5&1, but it's also good to know that if I have a really busy day or just don't want to cook, I don't absolutely have to.

I wish I could say you've inspired me to walk, but no - however, you have made me think about doing something and that's progress! I'm holding onto that "wait 3 weeks" party line for now - I'll have to think of some other excuse after my time runs out....

Congratulations on feeling great and losing weight!

Thanks Niki!! Doing anything is a step in the right direction I say, just move that bod! icon_smile.gif

I am here to say ~

I DID IT!!!

My goal was to reach 10,000 steps a day and today I did 11,444, that's over 3.6 miles for me. Yes, I have a short stride. icon_lol.gif

But I am so happy!
