I scrolled up. . .
Yes, my dear friend, I have had LOTS of moments like that! Sometimes I ate it out of defiance (how stupid was that? defiance against whom? myself??), sometimes I threw it away, sometimes it was a nightmare and I woke up believing I had eaten it then to realize it was a dream! Sometimes, I simply avoided the situation altogether (like simply walking into the grocery store -- I'd send Mike).
You are a quick learner and that's what it's all about. I actually had to practice my reactions in the shower or facing the bathroom mirror when I knew something was coming up or just after realizing, as you did, that I just made a choice that no longer fits with my new values regarding my relationship with food.
As Mike stated, it's all in the course corrections. Despite the past, are you moving in the right direction right now? Absolutely!
Happy August 1st!! I can't wait to see what happens for you this month! |

Happy Saturday ...
I am down one more pound which makes it 13 gone now...I will officially weigh in at roll call tomorrow and see if another lost pound can happen !
I have made three shakes for the day and will TAKE THEM WITH ME (That's for you Diana & Mike !) as I journey to my daughters "Tae Kwan Do" lesson and then off to get a manicure !
Seems like a good day mood wise...My stomach is trying to tell me it has a stomach flu...Not sure what that's all about...Still persevering though.
Back to work in 23 days and I have to make sure that I can stay the course for August so that bringing my MF food to my school will be a breeze.
Have a great "losing" day !
By the way, when is everyone on here? I see to miss you all when you're on line ! |

Pedicures....
I decided to get a pedicure today and had the woman really massage my feet well. She knew what she was doing and it felt good to have her work our the soreness in my feet.
As I was enjoying this massage I thought about how much better my feet will feel as my weight comes off.
I think back to when I wasn't overweight and took for granted that my feet felt fine. Isn't it funny how on a daily basis we take our health for granted?
Well, I am being more conscious these days of these little things, so that one day I can look back and be thankful that I started Medifast and resumed a life of "comfy feet" !!!

Sunday....8/3/08
What can I say...I am up 2 lbs and have my TOM again in a month !! I will ignore those 2 pounds and drink water, shakes, and have already taken a walk...
My daughter has a friend over to play and they are BORED !!!! Don't you love it when they say that ! When school starts in 3 weeks they will wish they had all this time back ! It is a beautiful day outside and not a cloud in the sky...
What will I do today to stay compliant??
1) Drink and drink and float away with water...
2) Take my medigrub meals on time...
3) Clean the house
4) Do laundry
5) Go see Mamma Mia ...AGAIN !!!!
I saw it last week and it was great !! I brought water and a bar with me, while the rest of the world ate junk food ! |

Wow, Katesmom!! The fact that you can go to the movies is a testament to your willpower! My goodness! I haven't been brave enough to face the theater and all its goodies yet.
Those 2 little pounds... wouldn't worry about them... they're just 2 extra that will pop off when TOM is through with you! No worries there, especially since you're doing so well on plan! Congrats on the weight loss thus far, and next week will show better results, I'm sure!! |

Looks like a good plan. So, Mama Mia was good... good to know.
We went to see Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. Was a fun film. Normally we take a bar and soy crisps with us and then get a diet coke or water there. Yes, the popcorn is tempting, but not as much when you know what you want.
Keep up the good work and those pounds will melt away.

Wow...It sure is quiet around here...Anyway, feeling better and not so TOM ish ...Have another long day doing errands and have already made my shakes and put them in a cooler...
By the way, Ice really helps make the shakes tasty and thick, for all of you who don't know this yet...
I am not weighing in until roll call due to TOM issues...
Can't believe school starts in three weeks...it will feel good to be back, despite being able to sleep in these days...I like routine, and when I am working I am better in control of my health and life in general...
WHERE IS EVERYBODY??? ARE YOU ALL ON VACATION???? |

Routine. My favorite word. I rocked this program when I was teaching. Well, OK, I still had bad times, but all my really good times coincided with work. I think I'm feeling better about the plan today precisely because I'm getting more comfortable with the logistics of taking care of two kids. The hardest part for me is lunch - my toddler has to eat, after all, and whatever I make her always looks really yummy. Breakfast is easy because I'm a liquid breakfast person, and dinner is easy because my husband is home to cook it plus it's usually L&G so I can eat it, too.
I think I will miss school this year, although nothing compares to being home with my kids. But when you love your job, you know.... Crazy to say but I will be a little jealous of you when school starts!
Yeah, there's a really select few people here nowadays - but they're the good ones, right? So we've got it made in the shade (although I do miss some people from 'the old days....') |

It is a rainy Tuesday here in Ct............
I am checking this site and reading some journals and then I might go to the mall and take a walk...window shopping can be fun...
I went into my office yesterday at school and my daughter came with me, to help me organize it for the new school year. I love new beginnings, don't you? I love Spring because everything feels new again and I guess most of us like a "clean slate" feeling once in awhile. We did well and I feel like I'm ready to start. I know I'll have mornings and reflect on the summer days when I could sleep in, but frankly that get's old after awhile.
I love routine and having a schedule...Thanks Nickie for your thoughts about that...I just seem to function better I guess...
I hope you all will come back to the board...It is darn lonely here ! |

OK, OK, I'm here, too. But yes, it's REALLY quiet here lately. Even BiggerInTexas is MIA since her surgery.
As for routines, mine's very set. Normally I like it, but sometimes I just HATE it and want a day to sleep in or stay home or whatever. Especially lately, when I'm really just not loving the job.
Anyway, glad you're looking forward to school starting. Things should pick up here at the med school soon, too, I hope. |

Glad to hear your concert went well, Katesmom!! That's awesome! And you stayed on plan, too! I'm going to the American Idol concert this upcoming Wednesday (guilty pleasure, I know)... I was thinking about saving my bar for that meal, because it's at 730, which is normally lean and green time!
Congrats on staying OP!! You're doing so well! Keep up the great work! |

Thanks Scarlet and Diana...
The truth of the matter is I found out why I have been feeling so horrible physically...I've had a very bad bladder infection (never had one before) and thought I had a stomach flu...Finally got things checked out and started antibiotics...Wow....I finally feel better...
Yesterday was my 10 year wedding anniversary !Yes, I celebrated (felt well enough) and had lobster (yes WITH butter) and wine....
Tomorrow I re-start with the same motivation and enthiusiasm I had a few weeks ago.....Thanks medibuds for listening !
